Hi, im editing a militaryRP map, How can i combine 2 maps together? Ive seen it done multiple times on different games ranging from garrys mod to CS:GO, any idea's?
If you have to ask this type of question then 1st you need to improve your mapping skills and knowlage , 2nd ask the creators of the level can you have have the .vmf to the levels and premission to combne them toeach other, if that's not an option you'll need bspscr to decompile the levels back to a vmf format then work on the vmf's so you fix up any errors they may have "decompiling never makes 100% correct vmf" once there fixed and can be compilied with no errors it time to combine in Hammer by copying one vmf into the other then again fixing any errors that might pop up
Ok but how do you copy 1 vmf into another?
You don't, you select the bunch of brushes/entities/whatever you want to copy from one .vmf and paste it into your other .vmf
It should be mentioned that most RP maps really use up most of the entity/brush budget. So if you combine two of them you will almost certainly be unable to compile it due to those limits
