My name is researcher Millar. I hope you've brought your notebooks, the information you will receive in these meetings could save your life. I want to remind you that unless otherwise specified, everything you learn here is considered classified. With that said, for this first class we'll start from the top. https://youtu.be/G6QVvBIBZLc Most breach-prone SCPs Recently, due to unknow reasons some SCPs have been known to disproportionately cause - or be involved in - containment breaches. Before I can let you go back to the rest of your duties for the day, I've been mandated to brief you over those particular SCPs. Due to time constraints, I'll go over the first but you'll have to refer directly to the paper documentation I've distributed for the rest of them. SCP-173 - Living concrete sculpture that can move only when not observed, killing people by snapping opponents' necks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkOKi0UpOH0 SCP-106 - Humanoid able to walk past matter, sending its prey to its Pocket Dimension. SCP-079 - Self-evolving Artificial Intelligence, able to control facility control systems. SCP-049 - Plague doctor trying to "cure" everyone he meets. SCP-914 - Object improving machinery. SCP-096 - "Shy Guy" who screams and goes on a rampage upon looking at him. Thank you very much for listening, you are all dismissed.
Thank you, sir. Better prepared for the field this way.
Very well done report doctor, I commend your efforts.
Youtube recommended me this randomly. I watched a few videos. I think its time to subscibe. It was really was pleasant surprise to not cringe, and I say that with the utmost of respect.
It's weird to see the Foundation as such a popular thing on the internet these days, after having seen it early on. Kind of hard to believe it's been so long since it began, coming up on 10 years now.
There's some really fascinating SCPs out there, I think one of my new favorite SCPs are SCP-2399 and SCP-536.
It probably partially has to do with SCP: Secret Laboratory.
Is everyone here? Okay, good. Would you hit the lights, please? Thank you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75NSsDUSpEs
Personally, when it comes to SCPs, I find SCP-504 Fascinating. I like SCPs with a good sense of humor to themselves, despite the dangers they present.
I like the jokey ones too, such as Item Description: An ordinary brand ███████ number 2 pencil, which will balance easily on its tip for hours at a time. Date of Recovery: ██-██-████ Location of Recovery: ███████, ████████ Current Status: Incinerated. Notes: I’m not even sure why this was an anomaly. Maybe it just had a very flat tip. Notice: Destroying anomalous items without appropriate permission is a major violation of Foundation policy. See that this does not occur again. - Site Director █████ █████. Log Of Anomalous Items
My favorite J is the rock of procrastination.
I'm sure, just as Containment Breach was another popular source of exposure to the Foundation, but either way it's definitely got some exposure on the internet and has had it for a long time.
Reminder there are SCP's that are blatantly fetish material that somehow got by. SCP-686 - SCP Foundation
Gentlemen, settle down. Due to the nature of this conference, only those with the proper clearance have been allowed entry. Show me your badges, please. Tanner, I know you've been approved for 4/231 but your old card still needs to be swapped out. Get it together. Okay, someone else will be coming along shortly and the room will be on lockdown until the end of the meeting. So, shut up and listen. https://youtu.be/xB9aj16UcC8
This is all really cool, great videos. It's been years since I read any SCP. Why don't they just kill everything in SCP-536? Seems like it would work quite effectively.
Because by attempting to destroy SCPs you risk something worse occuring because of it, take this SCP for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mo0L2odM39k
As well as what Carbisari posted, their motto is Secure, Contain, Protect, not Destroy, Eradicate, Annihilate. There are many other factions in the SCP universe, or Groups of Interest, one being the The Global Occult Coalition (GOC) who actively try to destroy all SCPs they find.
However there's SCPs like 682 that are explicitly stated to be destroyed ASAP considering just how many times it has broken containment. Hell for as supposedly indestructible as its touted to be, it shouldn't survive the very laws of physics being changed if it were placed in 536.
It was placed in 536. It survived. Experiment Log T
Ah what the fuck. I'm torn on 682, on one hand its a neat juggernaut SCP on another hand it feels like fanfic level, mary-sue shit.
Well it is SCP, it's basically fanfic in a predetermined original universe. I think 682 is fine. A bit simple and silly, but as long as it's not allowed to be rehashed a dozen times in other SCPs, I don't think there's any harm in having one indestructible lizard around for shits and giggles.
Relevant: SCP-682-J
Trogdor finally got caught by the Foundation I see.
Not as bad as 076. And neither are as bad was that god-awful Donut Steel and his catgirl harem.
Gentlemen. This meeting has been a bit overdue. Millar's not here for today, I'll explain everything in a second. Please take a seat. Hit the lights? Thank you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYPYFhNe9kA
They've also attempted to get rid of 682's desire to kill shit. 682 had a fun little interaction with SCP-999 if I'm not too terribly mistaken.
I've always been a huge fan of SCP-1733, 2030, and 1981 among others but the wiki will continually surprise me with more quality entries every time I check up on it every few years.
