I know this was last week but I was away and wasn't able to post this, plus it doesn't seem like many reputable news outlets are covering this for some reason.
I'll believe that when I see it. SK is one of our closest allies. There's no way.
Why does he keep fucking hinting at things? Can't he just release a proper statement at the proper time like every politician ever? Is that too much to ask? THIS ISN'T HOW YOU FOREIGN POLICY.
This is one of the most idiotic bluffs he's ever pulled. He's trying to scare SK into giving a "better deal". The fuck is wrong with him?
SK is a good ally of ours, I hope he doesn't manage to make a mess somehow between US and SK relations over stupid shit. Plus, I love how he hints a lot, or alludes to. It's always something with this guy.
S. Korea leaders: lmao no u won't.
People would give less of a shit if he didn't hinge every one of his schemes on hints. It reeks of Assange's "I GOT SUPER BIG DIRT ON HILLARY JUST YOU WAIT GUYS"
He probably "hints" because he knows full well how easily people turn on him if he just does anything he wants, so likely he just "bounces ideas" off his base's heads like this?
You wanna fuck over our military presence in Asia? Because that is sure as fuck how you'd do it.
Not to mention I doubt that Japan wouldn't retaliate in some form or manner. This cannot go without consequence because it will set the stage for a fuckin shitshow if we pulled out for such pettiness.
I think the worst part about this presidency, is that seriously bad ideas like this being hinted at by one of the most powerful people in the world can't even squeeze a reaction out of me beyond: "Ofc he did."
it's almost like electing a complete retard was a bad idea
You underestimate Trump.
Wow he really wants to watch/make the world burn.
This manchild is going to ruin the US and possibly many other countries if he actually keeps to his word, what is he thinking. Is he even thinking or just blurting out crap
He's threatening this over a trade war he started.
I'm all for closing global military bases that are unnecessary to have, but SK is not a country for that. It's not even at the bottom of the list.
I mean, he's practically made a career out of alienating our closest allies so why are you surprised?
The presidency will be summed up forever in history books as "Yup. That happened."
He's not trying to counter a threat, he's trying to boos the economy. In all likelihood it is a bluff, but if you can't see why he's doing it you're a moron
The real morons are anyone who doesn't see how his overly (passive) aggressive protectionist policies could only ever serve to harm the American economy.
I don't disagree brah, in the long run it will only hurt the economy, but to wonder why he is doing it is asinine.
"I'll let them decide what I meant"
"Ok so, we think you meant X"
"That's fake news, you're fake news"
He doesn't have the balls to just come out and threaten people.
In my experience, this is a behavioural quirk of narcissists; it's obviously not exclusive to them, but narcissists assemble a toolbox of a very small number of tactics that "work" and hinting at something controversial is a common move that "works" -- it gets them the attention they were seeking. It doesn't even need to be physically feasible or even possible, all that matters is that it gets attention and takes over the conversation.
But if anyone didn't notice that the President is an attention whore, hi and welcome back, you've been in a coma for ten years and oh BOY do I have good news and bad news for you. First, the good news is that you can now stream free porn anywhere you want.
