Package meant for Austin blows up at FedEx building near San Ant..
The San Antonio Texas Fire Department says a package bomb bound for Austin has exploded at a FedEx distribution center in Schertz, Texas, hurting 1 person, a FedEx employee who apparently suffered a non-life-threatening "percussion-type" injury from the blast. The FBI and ATF are at the scene.
A law enforcement source told Milton that it appears the package that exploded was mailed from Austin to Austin, Texas.
Unsure if this warranted a separate post from other Austin related news but I figured since this happened in San Antonio, I'd make a separate one. Regardless, this is tragic, but thankfully claimed no lives.
Suspicious package being investigated at a second FedEx location.

The apparent uptick in incidents and variation in bombings makes me wonder if it's one person or more.
Honestly hoping it's just the one. This is getting out of hand.
I wonder what the guy's motive is and why the targets seem to be all in Austin.
Second explosive device found at the Schertz facility. Also they think they've found which FedEx location they were sent from.
Were the others mail bombs? I thought the previous explosives were placed devices?
Two of them were mail bombs, one was thought to be a trip wire, I believe. This last one that exploded at the facility was a package as well.
The ATF's Milanowski said the latest bomb was anchored to a metal yard sign near the head of a hiking trail.
"It was a thin wire or filament, kind of like fishing line," he said. "It would have been very difficult for someone to see."
This person is now switching up their game due to them realizing the FedEx where they make their dropoffs is being watched. The fact they are switching their attack styles out from the original packages going straight to someone's door, too being on the street, and now boobytrapping heavily trafficed areas, is indication that this person is well versed in all sorts of methods.
I'm hopeful that pressure-devices are not used, but honestly with how fast this person's tactics are evolving, it's fair to say they might feel they are just getting started.
He, so far, has only targeted Black residents of Austin.
The FedEx bombs were after the trip wire bomb. The first ones were believed to have been placed on doorsteps by the bomber.
Now I'm even more confused. Either way, hopefully people keep their eyes out in Austin for any suspicious stuff.
