Honestly I think at this point Mueller probably has everything he needs, I really think now he's just going for a 100% completion run and preparing to nail everyone he can get his hands on when the hammer finally falls.
I too hope this is just Mueller's victory lap.

Personally I think it is more of a matter in him ensuring that his investigation has enough ammunition to use when the day comes, that way there is less chance in Trump or anyone else that my be wrapped up in all this from wriggling free.
It needs to be definitive, conclusive, this is going to be a one shot deal so he cannot afford for it to fall apart at the last hurdle.
If he comes forth I can't wait to see him run through every charge in the list with evidence, and also other charges that are undocumented and unknown to the press. Anything golden he has will have so much shit behind it and it will be so cool. If he isn't fired that is. We have to remember Trump is getting more desperate and he may let his emotions get the better of him. We have to be prepared for anything.
Waiting for who will strike first, Trump or Mueller, is a nail biter for sure and not in a good way.

It's like playing some RTS and sending 50 aircraft to destroy the other player's super-weapon, and even if they still just barely shoot them all down, you just shrug and send the next 400.

Alongside the inevitable drama films and TV series that will come out of this, I kind of want to see a comedic interpretation of Mueller's investigation. Every time he gets close to finishing the job, larger and more ridiculous bombshells drop. He becomes progressively less surprised as the series goes on, to the point where he just heaves a sigh when the Cambridge Analytics story breaks.
Then we'll find out that was Trump's plan all along, drown them with so much evidence that he'll be finished with his terms by the time the trail ends.

Or like AOE2. Go Huns Special Council, spam woodcutters & farmers subpoenas & indictments, then rush to Castle Age court, start churning out Tarkans stocking up on evidence and send them it in neverending waves at the enemy the defendants.
