I think that on the grey banner, next to your name and coins, there should be a bar showing you how much 'EXP' you need to get to the next level, it could be taken far enough that whenever you post/rate a post it shows a little animation with how much EXP you get
i mean there already is a percentage displayed when you mouse over your coin count atm, it's just not always displayed. also probably shouldn't reveal exactly how much exp you get per post/rating. if people know exactly how the system works they're just gonna try and find ways to abuse it. Plus it's funny right now seeing so many people thinking that spamming posts is really gonna get them a shit ton of coins or something lol.
That would be in direct conflict with the idea of keeping xp gathering somewhat unknown.
lmao, yeah it probs shouldnt have the EXP popup but the other ideas are valid. Also im pretty sure you get coins for ratings!?!? not sure though. Im also not sure what the level system is based off, whether it is coins or other
Honestly coins/levels shouldn't be measured too much. Don't want a culture of people trying to min/max their coins and forum level.
If someone rates you "coin" or "diamond" then yeah
no shit but i think if you get 'funny' or 'agree' it goes towards your next level/coin
I would like to have the level up by the coin so I can highlight that to see progress rather than my avatar, but I don't think there is any need to see or understand how much we get for each post.
I'd have flashbacks to Diablo II and needing to post just that little bit more to hit level 99.
It says you need 10x coin to rate diamond, does that mean that it cost coins when you use those two?
Yes, it takes your coins and gives it to the other person, so you can't work out a trade deal where you just infinitely grind them with a friend or alt.
