While I'm sure this will end up being abused to shoot down any research that indicates global warming being a fact or that coal isn't the second coming of Jesus, the stated goal of increased transparency and public availability of data is entirely reasonable.
Slowly killing off humanity just to make a few extra bucks.
Seriously? What the fuck? Was this thought up by the same dude that has guards around him because he's afraid of the people he administrates? Considering how pissed I am I can't even imagine how people working in the EPA feel having some Trump crony undermine their entire profession.
The stated goal of "Making America Great Again" is also entirely reasonable. That doesn't mean it isn't complete bullshit.
but for something to be used to justify a rule in the court of law under legal scrutiny it already has to be transparent, verified, and justified. its just a dogwhistle to say that science isn't transparent enough, good science stands on its own because it has to be shown to be correct
Fucking Traitors, not only to our country but to our planet and our species. There ought to be a category of "willingly endangering the lives of all mankind for self-profit" of crimes against humanity.
Whenever the EPA gets scientific evaluations from third parties, "the methodology and data need to be a part of the official record -- the rule making -- so that you and others can look at it and say, ‘was it wisely done?’" Reasonable The EPA has gotten away from honestly comparing the costs and benefits of regulatiom But I don't think this was ever in the job description, I don't see how anyone cares about the effects on an industry if hundreds of species are dying from it.
The Trump administration's war on science and truth has been one of the most detestable aspects of its tenure.
I thought there already was one?
It's a shame this man won't live long enough to burn in the hell he's creating.
High government isn't overly concerned with facts. This isn't just limited to the whole "fake news" thing, either. Even before this administration, there was the whole "trickle down" myth, which works based off of the false premise that employers will invariably pay workers more if they have more money. Facts will be discarded, or even purposefully denied when is convenient for them. This just makes that process even easier, you don't have to deny studies which turn up undesirable results if those studies don't occur in the first place. That is to say, the only reason to do this is self-serving bullshit.
The very government that says "we have to make legislation based on the facts" decides to conveniently ignore any fact that inconveniences them by denying them the funds or voice to have any impact via repeatable, record-able, tangible data.
There's no words here. How do you even react to this? I'm so completely mad right now. This should be punishable by fucking jailtime.
Next up, "the use court rulings should be limited on who gets found guilty of collusion. No relation to the whole Trump thing, this is to protect the public. Totally just the public."
How about executions? The world is more important than their greedy lives.
Well nobody deserves to die, they are assholes yes and should be fired and replaced with more competent people however
No, these should be considered crimes against humanity. Throw them in cells for the rest of their lives to rot. Let 'em suffer.
