Even more proof that Russia is a danger to world stability.
So otherwords, Russian Federation will accept's Venezuela's first national cryptocurrency. And I maybe Russia will likely do same in near-future, after this.
Erm, seeing how bitcoin is a bit of a mess, this doesn't seems very good for Venezuela or even Russia.
Appeasement 2.0
Considering it's been shown that other data can be hidden inside the block-chain, I also imagine they could use it to somehow exchange information, nefarious or otherwise.
Assuming it's something like Bitcoin, that data should be visible to anyone else looking at the blockchain anyway. Sure you could encrypt it first, but you could also just send over the Internet a lot more easily and privately.
And that sanctions don't work. There's always a way around, always someone willing to help evade them, and so a nation under sanction is never going to consider stopping whatever got it levied in the first place.
Oh boy, oh boy, hit them with even more sanctions. I want to see Putin and his friends piss blood.
If everyone can get it, and everyone can decrypt it, then what's to stop them installing malware via "site miners" for this currency?
I'm no expert, but not necessarily everyone can decrypt it if they store enceyted data in the blockchain's Metadata like this. You. Would need to be able to sign the encryption key to decrypt the data. From what I understand, what stops malware from being a problem is that this data has to be "extracted" and cannot be arbitrarily executed. So malware is kinda pointless when delivered in this way. I could be wrong though, so feel free to correct me if someone knows otherwise
So it's an even bigger potential quagmire than initially suggested then... Interesting.
