So does this mean we get to see Trump unchained?
Regardless about what you think about the state of the investigation and the alleged possibility of Russian involvement, it's hard to deny at this point that the turnover in Trump's camp is highly unusual and raises a ton of red flags.
Good. This will make Mueller's investigation faster and quicker.
Damn I feel warm and fuzzy. Seeing Trump's own henchmen quit and abandoning him when they know the shit is about to hit the fan really does make my day. The faster the orange traitor is out the better.
Seems to he was hardly "chained" to begin with, seeing how he ignored is lawyers advice all the time anyway.
I certainly don't blame him. It must've been maddening to lawyer for a client like Trump.

https://twitter.com/scottbix/status/976847682277986304 very fake news..
Well, that's pretty serious. Down was the lawyer cautioning restraint, trying to hold Trump back from acting on his worst legal instincts. That Down is resigning now signals that Trump is about to do something that Dowd all but BEGGED him not to do, yet knew that Trump was going to do anyway. Trump is going to fire Mueller. Prepare yourselves. https://act.moveon.org/event/mueller-firing-rapid-response-events/search/
If he does fire Mueller, he and the republican party are going to go down so hard, it isn't even funny. You guys better be prepared to take to the street. I really hope the best for you Americans, godspeed.
He won't He CAN'T be that dumb Right?
Well, the way thing are going, I wouldn't be too surprised. He has advocated a child-rapist, admitted to sexual harassment, used a company which employs ex-spies to swing the election to his favor etc. To be honest, it wouldn't surprise me anymore. He knows he has a far-right militia backing him which is in my opinion really fucking scary.
I he weren't, would Down have quit over Trump constantly refusing to listen to his legal advice?
Most of that "militia" is probably just hillbilly white trash, and any radicals would probably be handled by law enforcement. I can't see that being a huge issue.
The militia's you guys have are seriously well armed and trained, they are a force to be reckoned with. Law enforcement will have a tough time bringing peace, especially if people take to the streets and civil restlessness takes a'hold.
Man, it has been one hell of a week.
https://twitter.com/jdawsey1/status/976867346517299206?s=19 Oh boy.
Much bigger worry than militias, currently, is whether a complicit Repubpican Congress will act to defend the rule of law. Signs point to, "no."

Do it.
Oh my god, he's actually going to talk to Muller? I'll get the popcorn.
Can you repaste the protest locations
I am just talking on the standpoint that IF there were to be mass rioting then you'd have a problem. I just hope it doesn't come to that. Congress is a whole other can of worms.
You can also find the protest locations listed over on the website that he linked to.
Trump signed his own death warrant
If the protesters keep their events nonviolent it won't be a problem. Having squads of armed rednecks showing up at major cities to "restore order" when the vast majority of people are simply exercising their conditional right to protest and assembly would actually be a boon to public perceptions of the ordeal, presuming they can't reliably spin the protest events as a riot and local law enforcement can deal with any weird shit they pull. What we absolutely DO NOT WANT is for them to arrive to a situation where they can say that they assisted local law enforcement in getting a riot under control. I cannot stress this enough: Sunday best, isolate and report looters and troublemakers if they attempt to take advantage of the situation for personal gain, don't take bait to antagonize law enforcement. It's alright to be in people's way to a degree but keep the fucking punk rock music video fantasy shit to a minimum, this will be about the future of the country and winning hearts and minds, not the chance for every wannabe revolutionary to make good on the "this molotov will inspire social change" meme. The women's march was a relatively decent model, I think, in spite of a few rough patches. Avoid leaving anything that internet detractors and fox news pundits can cherry pick and nitpick to death. Take your signs with you when you leave. Leave dealing with any agitators that get physical to the police, if possible.
The militia and law enforcement are the same people. If protests arise in response to Mueller being fired the best case scenario is the rednecks start killing and maiming with the cops' blessing (see: Charlottesville), the alternative is the cops cut out the middlemen, either way the official narrative will be violent dangerous leftist riots quelled by are heroes in blue with the help of Gadsden-flag-waving inbreds. Expect J20, Charlottesville, Durham, etc. to look like pricing disputes at a lemonade stand compared to what happens next if these protests occur.
Well then you let them kill. I don't mean to be so fatalistic as to advocate martyrdom but if you want to stand up for the rights of your countrymen against a brutal opposition there's no better way to do it in this country than a 24/7 newsreel of armed agitators or law enforcement firing into an unarmed crowd. It's too juicy for the media to resist. That will absolutely FUCK them on the national stage, no matter how desperately they try to spin it, but that's predicated on the protesters actually making an effort to play to the national audience. I doubt it will be so bad at most places though.
I'm so mad we don't have more Trump supporters here, I wish we could see some toxxes over this like we did with the election
