Holy shit, if I had the money I would get this, I'm not a big BMW fan boy or anything but damn I don't think I would ever stop driving if I had this car.

For $180,000 I think I would cry when I find the first scratch or when a bird shits on it.
I'd hate driving this because I'd rather be in the back getting a $180,000 massage from those damn chairs :v
it's even worse because these matte paint finishes are actually notoriously hard to clean because they can't be sealed like a normal paint finish or it ruins the 'matteness'
I feel that even if I had the money to buy a car like that I would feel like a guilty spoiled piece of shit for driving it.
I'd just get it when it reaches the end of the deprecation curve.

I've heard this said before, but "If you have to look at the pricetag to buy a luxury car, you shouldn't be buying a luxury car."
These things are meant for obscenely rich people as playthings. This is not something that you should drive to work. Or anywhere that's not a racetrack, really. If you actually worked hard and saved up $180k for a car... you're going to obsess over every single thing that happens to it. Not worth the stress, and greatly takes away a lot of the enjoyment out of it.
The vehicles that exist in this echelon of luxury sedans aren't really made for the driving experience. The type of person that would buy this car would probably rarely drive it, if they would even drive it at all. Instead, they'd hire a driver at a salary in the same neighborhood as the price of if the car itself to be chauffeured around in, and then buy another one to ride in when the other is in the shop
Eh, there's really not much about it that screams "most expensive BMW ever" to me. It's a nice car and there are a few nice features in it but 70% of the video was gimmicks that get old fast. You have a tablet that you can pop out, stand away from your car with the doors open, and show all your friends how the lights change! Hope it's not some chinese outsourced thing that breaks if you look at it too hard, or with a battery that flattens when your spoiled kid uses it constantly. Wow, you put a Leap Motion on the center dash. Wow, there's a sensor in the phone cradle that tells the main dash you left your phone plugged in, is that really so luxurious that you can't have it as a paid addon for a Ford Fiesta? Depending on what the car uses to communicate, you could have all of that keyfob crap as an app for your $1200 Samsung phone, and maybe then it wouldn't lag when you scroll through options. The best thing he could find about the exterior was a velour-covered rubber gasket that doesn't even tuck the edges under the chassis, and I've seen those in $20000 Volkswagens.
I'd rather not have the tablet and have both seat displays be touchscreens, for example. It'd be more natural and interactive for people riding along, they could interact with the GPS map directly. Also, is there some sort of war against buttons and analog devices going on in the luxury car world? A nice fader, maybe even a motorized one, with a knob that wraps around your finger nicely and is made from good plastic or even metal would look and feel much better than a tiny capacitative screen with a shitty little marker on it.
The exterior is gorgeous with that matte-y paint, the design is fantastic, but you open the door and it's got a ton of low-res displays and RGB LED lamps everywhere, with that silver plastic (probably plastic? it'd feel cold to the touch if it was metal, don't think people would like that too much) covering every inch that the leather doesn't. I get that it's a monument to excess, but there are way better ways to go about doing that.
I immediately think back to the Porsche Cayman vid RCR did. It's a gorgeous looking car with a powerful engine, the design is consistent between the interior and exterior, it's got nice premium features like a digital oil level and especially-built compartments for parts and accesories (do the BMW's headrest pillows really just... ship in a plastic bag inside the trunk? they don't have a little compartment for them or even a nice lined box with velcro on the bottom to store them in the trunk?). It was $50000 and most of that shows in the materials, build quality and design, it's doesn't have a million electronic bits and bobs that justify marking up the price or listing them as "free!" addons.
you can get the same car minus the rear seat stuff and v12 for 80-90k
$180,000 and still can't park between the lines
