It's no coincidence that the same names and companies keep coming up in relation to each other as the investigation cuts closer to the corrupted heart of the monstrosity that is the Trump administration. Frankly, the news that's broken over the past couple of weeks necessitates at least one other special counsel and investigatory team, or at least a massive expansion of Mueller's, as the this level of criminality within our government is starting to become so vast that his one small team can't possibly hope to excise it all on their own.

there probably isn't just one rabbit hole - instead, it's an entire network of tunnels that goes really fucking deep, far and wide in all directions, connecting all the corrupt, greedy politicians who don't give a shit about the consequences of their dealings as long as they get a slice, as long as they can momentarily strengthen their hateful grip on the world
the best, if memetic umbrella term that i can come up with would probably be "electronic old men", because this shit should stay in cyberpunk fiction
what i fear is that despite large amounts of this stuff coming to light, some of these criminals - maybe even the most of them - will be able to evade justice
