Developer options has the whole logging thing disabled- but it does it anyway. The file shows up occasionally but when you delete it, it doesn't stay deleted. Hidden files shows nothing. And whilst 'deleted' it would still increase in size- it can't any more, though. It's swallowed up all the free space. The file SHOULD be right below the 'WhatsApp' folder there, but it's vanished. What in the utter fuck. Can't exactly go and buy a new phone, either. Android 7.1.1 on my Vodafone Smart V8.
mtp doesn't show all the files on the phone by design, what does something like FX file explorer say?
I would get that app but I can't download it to my phone any more, and the play store won't let me change it to my SD card location. Any other options?
You can free up some space on most phones temporarily by booting into recover mode and clearing the cache (instructions are phone-dependent) Afterwards some app like ccleaner, fx file explorer can clear it off the phone If bluetooth logging is bugged on and taking up space, though, i'd try disabling developer options altogether, and if that doesn't fix it, just reflashing the newest firmware or resetting (worth a shot, at least)
FX shows nothing, just that some invisible thing is taking up most of the space. And I only recently tried developer options just to see if the logging option was enabled, and it wasn't, meaning that my phone decided to do it anyway. Ah, just remembered this happened before. Deleting and resetting fixed it, but it's only temporary. I'll try and chase up a more permanent option. Cheers, lads.
