Why are we still talking about this game? It is bad. We all know it's bad. At this point I feel like making videos on this game is (very tasty) low hanging fruit
Mostly because its Half Life I guess. People are desperate to talk about HL after being blue balled by valve.
And also HDTM dev team are promising of keeping "updating" game like Prospekt dev team is doing, so they are avoiding of delisted by Valve.

Plus the review ratio got mildly improved as result of these "updates".
In this video's case, Pyrocritical also lended his voice to the faceless, generic soldiers in the game. So he has a reason to be dissatisfied, plus he bought the game rather than accept the free code.
Meh, I found the video pretty entertaining. Didn't really bother looking into the game other than hearing that it was bad.

Say something bad about something that the majority of people think is bad = high levels of agreement = high amounts of people will view the video
It's not surprising that so many youtubers happened to pick this up
