As shitty as this is I have a sneaking suspicion the only reason you posted this is because of an ever so brief mention of a gang of immigrants.
So just so we're all on the same page: what other kind of news would you rather everyone post here?
I'd rather have SH be less of a constant barrage of Tudd posting threads on murder and rape with a fat tinge of fear mongering.
Your opinions of Tudd aside, this post is from a reputable source, and this is a pretty significant event that is currently being covered by a lot of news sources all over the world:
https://news.google.com/news/story/dO75HFjxw9-e3vMK4WjIL4hFQcjAM?hl=en&ned=us&gl=US
I really don't see what's wrong with it except for the person who posted it.
I not sure how it's fear mongering, cases of antisemitism in France and many other European countries have risen rapidly in the last few years, the causes being quite
obvious, increasing far right violence and poor integration of Muslim refugees, you can't just cover your ears and pretend it isn't happening. I'll admit Tudd has a bit of
a bias but that still doesn't make the news any less valid.
Anti-semitism has been an issue in France for years and pretending it's some kind of new up and coming phenomenon is, in its own right, fear mongering.
Obviously something needs to be done about it but news of people being disrespectful, violent or even murderous towards the jewish community pop up on a relatively frequent basis.
So in your view we should not report on it because it's a long standing issue ? that sounds very much like you're trying to normalize the problem.
These things need to be reported as much as possible because the only way real action is taken these days is if the government are pressured in to doing it.
I'm criticizing the misconstruction pushed by some people that this is some kind of brand new issue and not a long standing problem that has always been in need of fixing but never received much media attention due to its frequency. The sudden spike in attention with this specific case feels disingenuous as fuck because it's pretending that there has been some sort of new rise of antisemitism despite the fact I've remembered news stories popping up about graves being desecrated and synagogues being attacked for two decades, and unless there's some of kind of uncommon factor involved like terrorism or a holocaust victim then the media just kind of mildly glosses over it because it doesn't sell enough as a story.
The issue is already normalized. The fact only the most extreme cases get media attention is proof enough of that.
I agree with you that antisemitism has become mostly normalized in many European countries, but that still doesn't mean we should avoid reporting on the problem.
Yes constant news about murder, violence, etc does get tiring but it's far better that we know about it rather than trying to hide it, going from your original post it seems to me
you are more concerned with Tudd than the news itself, if that is the case might I suggest talking to a moderator rather than filling threads with your complaints.
Unless you're going to discuss this issue I will say no more to you.
Anti-semitism never went away.
Yeah anti-semitism never truly disappeared. Just look at the state of the labour party in the UK for chrissakes.
Well, I did some googling and found this study from the University of Oslo that says:
Combining incident data based on police reporting with a 2012 survey on antisemitism carried out by
the European Union’s Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA), this report tentatively compares the levels of
antisemitic violence in different countries. The seven-country sample contains comparable data for France,
UK, Germany and Sweden only. Among these countries, Jews’ exposure to antisemitic violence appears to
have been highest in France, lower in Sweden and Germany, and lowest in the United Kingdom.
Figures for Norway, Denmark and Russia are not directly comparable because of differing data
sources. However, Russia clearly stands out with a very low number of incidents considering Russia’s
relatively large Jewish population. Russia is also the only case in which there is little to indicate that Jews
avoid displaying their identity in public.
Available data on perpetrators suggest that individuals of Muslim background stand out among
perpetrators of antisemitic violence in Western Europe, but not in Russia, where right-wing extremist
offenders dominate. Attitude surveys corroborate this picture in so far as antisemitic attitudes are far more
widespread among Muslims than among the general population in Western Europe.

France sees rise in violence against Jews and Muslims despite dr..

Muslim respondents were two and even three times more anti-Jewish than French people as a whole. Thus, for example, 19 percent of the entire French sample adhered to the idea that Jews have “too much” political power, but the rate was 51 percent for all Muslim respondents. While there were no significant differences in Muslim responses on the basis of age, education or social status, anti-Semitic views tended to correlate with the intensity of Muslim religiosity: 37 percent of those born in a Muslim family without religious involvement thought Jews had too much political power, but 49 percent of Muslim believers thought so, and 63 percent of believing and practicing Muslims.
On the other hand, leaving everything negative done by migrants or Muslims unaddressed just contributes to the narrative that 'The Left' wants to be wilfully ignorant of the 'dangers' posed by Evil Brown People - or, as we can see, can even contribute to the utter madness going on with the case of that British pedophile network.
If there's enough problems with a certain population and enough people start posting about it. Does it stop becoming an 'agenda' for you to actually look at the news or are you just going to close your eyes and cover your years again?
