They ruled this as an accidental death due to constant falls from being extremely drunk...
"The BuzzFeed News series also revealed new details about Lesin — including that he died on the eve of a scheduled meeting with US Justice Department officials. They had planned to interview Lesin about the inner workings of RT, the Kremlin-funded network that he founded."
The conspiracy begins
You think they would try to make his death a bit more subtle.
Ah yes, suicide by repetitive head trauma. Only behind "two gunshots to the back of the head" and "choking yourself to death while tied to a chair" in terms of most horrible way to commit suicide.
It's about as much as an conspiracy when Japanese police said that an sumo wrestler that was bludgeoned with a bat, cut, smacked with bottles, and burned with cigs, died from an accident.

Only probably the most (legally) important night of his life where he'd need to be more alert, able to remember, and attentive than he's ever been in his life. Obviously the perfect time for him to get drunk enough to kill himself. Makes sense to me.
The coroner determined that he had died from blunt force injuries to the head and had also sustained blunt force injuries to his neck, torso, upper extremities, and lower extremities. After an 11-month investigation, a federal prosecutor announced in late 2016 that Lesin died alone in his room due to a series of drunken falls “after days of excessive consumption of alcohol.” His death was ruled an “accident,” with the coroner adding acute alcohol intoxication as a contributing cause of death, and prosecutors closed the case.
Ahh of course! The classic "Got-So-Drunk-That-I-Beat-My-Own-Body-To-Death" routine. Haha classic I think we've all been there a couple times amirite guys???
(The coroner and police in charge of this investigation need to either lose their jobs and face jail time, or come forward about being blackmailed/threatened into this "conclusion" for this investigation. Or both.)
