I was just about to make a post about this. It was nice just being able to go "whoa, that user I recognize got banned for something, I wonder what for" and being able to just easily check.
Now I see someone I recognize banned and don't even know if they'll be coming back or not.
Honestly not knowing is half the fun
Something similar to the event log from oldpunch would be pretty sick.
Yeah, not just bans but all user-specific events like coins given/received, thread closings, etc would be a neat user profile addition.
Everyone who enters has a chance to win 100 coins or get permabanned.
There's already something of that nature on the road map

I'd like to start with a clean slate to match the new forums first, if this gets brought back.
I joined this hellhole when I was 9 years old and got banned in a week, that's so incredibly unrepresentative of who I am now at age 20. Even like 5 years ago I remember a specific ban I received because I got buttblasted and angry at some post that, now, I wouldn't give a shit about. It hurt to look at what I posted, last time I did. At some point I lost so much Smartness in one post that I got a ban, while these days the vast majority of my posts have, at the very least, some pretty solid grammar and spelling.
I think by now my social skills and beliefs have cemented themselves pretty well into my brain, and now would be a good time to "start over."
If you can't trust a member with at least 6 bans, and noone has any bans, how can you trust anyone at all though? :thinking:
I have literally no idea why tudd was banned or how long he was banned for, or who banned him.
I'm admittedly missing the transparency.
