62% believe Australia’s gun laws are about right and 25% think they are too weak. Only 7% think they are too strict.
42% of over 65’s think they are too weak. Otherwise, views were quite consistent across demographic and voting groups.
I mean, I suppose you could make an exception for flamethrowers
Don't forget the drop bears!
Only issues I have with the gun laws here is they classify airsoft guns as the real thing if they look real, as in, if it looks like a Category D (assault rifle) weapon then its classified as a category D weapon and not a toy.
There are so many laws standing between it being legal here I don't think it will ever get fixed and thats super shitty, would actually give me a reason to excersize
I don't think there's actually a law against flame throwers.
this is the only issue i have with our gun laws. no hobby paintball or airsoft. if you want to paintball you have to pay way too much to play at a place.
They really are.
If you want to get a bolt action rifle or a double barrelled shotgun it really isn't difficult, it just takes time and a lot of paperwork, as well as background checks and all that.
like already said however, the laws regarding airsoft guns are dumb as fuck.
It's easier to get a gun if you're a farmer, but if you're a collector it can be harder. Sometimes just wanting to collect guns isn't a good enough of a reason, even if you pass all the background checks and exams.
I do hope that the law gets updated so it isn't a crime against humanity to own an airsoft rifle.
