Can the adults in this whole debate stop acting like fucking idiots please? Thanks.
here's the tweet

what a pathetic woman
If you're actively mocking teens who survived a gun shooting with petty insults, maybe you should rethink your life out.
I love how a 4.0 or better GPA just isn't enough anymore.
He probably scored higher than she ever did
Typical hyper aggressive response from the right to any opposition, no matter how just the cause.
I sincerely hope that, one day, they’re held accountable for their reckless actions.
Literally bullying kids who survived a mass shooting.
What even is the right any more?
Acknowledging that he was "absolutely disappointed," Hogg noted that students like him are already changing the world. "If colleges want to support us in that, great, if they don't it doesn't matter, we're still going to change the world," he said.
But colleges don't accept people based on the desire to change the world
I think he meant it like "us" being "anyone with grades like me or below being supported by colleges because our grades got us accepted" not so much "us" being "the parkland survivors being supported by colleges because of non-academic merits"
Did you skip the part where it says "noted that students like him are already changing the world"?
IIRC grades don't necessarily mean shit. A 4.1 GPA in a hodunk shit town is probably less impressive than a 3.5 from a much more strenuous private school.
That being said fuck that bitch, I don't agree at all with these pussy kids but to go and be a bitch about not getting into a college is completely uncalled for and adds nothing.
These schools are in such high demand that they basically charge out-of-state and foreign kids like 40k a year and still have way more applications than seats they can give.
You can get into a damn good school with his GPAs, it's just that those schools specifically have way too many applicants than they can adequately respond to.
They actually generally do?
If you can demonstrate that you're likely to become rich or influential it's very attractive to them, because they want you to give back money/prestige.
"Students with high grades who aren't getting into some colleges" is what I'm gathering here.

I wonder if any of them are gonna drop their advertisements. I'm rather doubtful, personally
Nutrish pet food said in a statement Thursday that it is pulling its ads from The Ingraham Angle because "the comments she has made are not consistent with how we feel people should be treated."
His arguments have enough holes to form a rebuttal against his claims, how about trying to discredit them like a fucking adult instead of mocking character like a middle schooler.
This really just depends on how financially advantageous it would be to stay or leave.
it could possibly draw more business to play up the “we’re with the students!” stance, but one can’t really say they’ll do anything at the moment.
This is what's so frustrating about the Right's response to pretty everything surrounding #marchforourlives.
Instead of forming actual arguments they assume they don't have to due to the age of the people involved and just think if they shout at them they'll go away and just end up looking like a bunch of cunts.
I know the school I went to actually disliked people sending them >4.0 gpa's, they didn't really appreciate schools messing around with the scale when others like my highschool didn't
in fact my highschool penalized you for taking ap classes since they were harder and there was no grade weighting compared to the surrounding districts where they shifted the scale

Hang on guys it's Holy Week so we are all good, she's sorry for what she said because she remembered it's Holy Week. Please ignore that she forgot it was Holy Week when she made the comment because now she just now remembered such an important week so she's sorry for being unholy-like. God bless
Wayfair, TripAdvisor and Nutrish have all pulled their ads from Ingraham.

"I'm sorry now that my actions might have consequences"
Interesting timing 🤔
'Oh god oh god it really says we're losing our advertisers en masse we're going to be poor'
yup, of all weeks Jesus revives on his one
really makes you think
It's probably a bit much to actively tell people to boycott her in response to a pretty mild remark. It wasn't nice by any measure but it's pretty easy to brush off.
If companies don't want to support a person who's mocking a teen like a bully personally, then that's on them.

Expedia and Nestle are out.
US conservatives have just zoomed past the moral event horizon huh
Actually I'd say its pretty appropriate. She isn't losing her job and her show isn't getting taken off the air or anything, but sponsors pulling out is a pretty good way of indicating to a person or network that they fucked up.
As time goes on and Fox falls further and further down its crazy right wing rabbit hole you'll probably see this happen more often as they fill their network with raving lunatics.
I got rejected by a shit ton of colleges when I applied until I got one, is that not normal? Granted, I wasn't 4.0 but still, my sister was 4.3 and it happened to her too.
