This truly is a successor to Operation Genesis, which is all I really wanted. I never thought I'd ever see a new JPOG, but here it is.
I am so incredibly excited for this game. JPOG was one of my favorite games as a kid, and this looks like it's everything JPOG wanted to be, but couldn't.
This looks so fun. I never got to play JPOG aside from the demo version so I'm looking forward to getting this.

The optimist in me is hoping for them to release a playable demo sometime closer to full release, but demos are such a rare thing nowadays the likelihood of that happening is next to zero.
It looks cool, but it doesn't look worth $60. Hopefully they show off the "Entertainment" part of the game soon.

This is probably the biggest reason for my faith in this ending up being real good. Everything I've seen and heard about Planet Coaster has been strongly positive, I can't imagine them fucking this up.

The one thing from JPOG I could've done without would've been tornadoes though.
I pray this has cheats to get rid of tornadoes like in JPOG. And just cheats in general. Can be pretty fun to mess with them at times.
Personally I hope there's a mode to actually control the dinosaurs and just mess around as them.

In the second video posted, the devs displayed a map of the islands and it's looking like Sorna and Nublar are later in the game.
I wouldn't count on it, Planet Coaster doesn't have proper modding AFAIK.
I've really strayed away from gaming apart from occasional roguelikes but my nostalgia for JPOG is so strong I just have to get my hands on this. It looks killer and seems to have that same feel JPOG had. I just hope for more depth, fluidity, and modern interfaces in this new game. High hopes!
Site B the game mode, not the island. JPOG had an unlockable mode where you could hatch dinosaurs to roam free on an open island

I was only giving it half my cheek for the most part, but no joke twisters would always turn a relatively meditative game into a bonanza of anxiety for me. It was always like watching a three year old meander drunkenly through a minefield and you're 300 meters too far to stop it.
It's the woman's voice as she announced it and the following music that did it, I hope they have that kind of music like when a big carnivore was released from hatchery.
