"In our country there are more and more 'Hikikomoris', young people engaged in video games. Informs @NuriaMejiasRuiz for the RTVE news."
There are two guys in the video, an actor and a streamer being interviewed.
Watch the video even if you don't speak spanish, it's hilarious.
The guy later came out on twitter saying that he never had videogame addiction, his parents just made him believe so, in reality the first day he was with Proyecto Hombre (a spanish group that helps people with all kinds of addictions) he was told his problems with studies weren't do to videogames, just to a problem with emotion management which led to a lack of motivation, amongst other things (https://twitter.com/Taoscuro/status/979768159837278208)
Amazing
There is an entire show dedicated to addictions...

The problem here isn't video games. You would think 30 to 40 years of people playing games, something game specific would have come up by now.
I'm not saying that videogame addictions don't exist, but they aren't realistically portrayed.
yea, I mean you can see videogame 'addictions' a good amount, especially on twitch, where you get people who stream there for 16 hours a day and cant miss a day
or the people who rarely die from playing wow or w/e game for 36 hours straight
Fucking League of Legends on an Xbox controller.
Amazing.
playing something that already defines you as a pleb, and then falling down a hole i thought didn't go any deeper
I remember there was a news program here talking about it, and it felt like a big ad for a "rehab center" just for video game addictions. The piece was hilarious because most of the kids just didn't have friends from school so they had friends online instead, and that pissed their parents off. So they send them to the rehab center, which is a place in Montana that literally just drops your kid in the middle of the plains and tells them to survive. It's so asinine, because the issue isnt the games, it's that they have social issues at school and no reason to leave their online friends.
It's even league in season (3 or 4 idk which one), and the current season is 8.
This guy is so addicted to gaming he time traveled, holy shit
Sadly it already worked for the target this propaganda was focused to: I had to explain my parents during several minutes all the inaccuracies of this report and show to them the facts in order to convince them that this is bullshit.
Is terrible how Spain has descended to such level of manipulation, and no one can resolve it. And what is more painful is that this one was done by the public broadcast, not a private channel. We practically have no professional journalists in this country, at least with a job.
Actually, if you look at the bottom, there's a slider for the replay mode, so ,at least, that has to be season 7 (as that's when League got its replay mode.)
The UI and map are that of pre-Season 5, though. I'm not very caught up with current League stuff, does it support older replays with that stuff?
No. It only supports replays from games from that particular patch (replays made in the current patch, for example, will no longer work when they update the game.), though you can create highlights of any moment you want and you can see them whenever you want.
That being said, after looking through it again, I just now noticed that we're both right. The first couple of scenes that they showed were from season 7-8, but the later ones were from 3-4.
