Huh, never seen that Orange EA logo on the 360 version. Only available on the ps3 version for some reason.
EA handled the PS3 port because Valve fucking hated the PS3 at the time.
would you mind explaining?
Gabe Newell calls PS3 'waste of everybody's time'
Well if I remember right, Valve didn't like the architecture of the ps3 for porting to it, compared to xbox 360 which was much more accessible in comparison. If I remember right they actually jumped between supporting the two at some point.
I really like the console version's ui, so its cool we can almost play it now.
i dont remember deus ex: human revolution having this setting
PS3 was a cluster fuck of bad architecture designs that made making and porting games onto it really difficult. It's why you saw that "PS3 has no games" meme because devs just didn't want to make things for the problematic ps3 versus the Xbox 360 that was a breeze.
Adding to what others have said: after publicly talking shit about the PS3 on numerous occasions, Valve then pulled a gigantic switcheroo and announced that the PS3 version of Portal 2 would be developed internally and have exclusive features. Gabe came on stage at Sony's E3 conference to thank Sony for not beating the shit out of him

Why is this listed as 13:31:36 in length?
Don't worry, the 360 version still has a server up for some reason. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXF0h7zHGDI
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoGnDgqNGkk The PS3 takes the entire basic architecture of computing that's been the status quo for 40 years and says fuck that shit, we're making a terrifying Lovecraftian cyber-torus-wagonwheel-thing that heavily abstracts what RAM even is by creating a system where separate processors pass blocks of virtual memory around to each other, pushes developers' limits of how many things they can make their software parallelize, and therefore is almost impossible to port software to. It took YEARS for developers to become competent at making software for PS3.
Oh man just IMAGINE all the glitches and exploits that are on that version, someone should try to see how they could take advantage of it (like in unpatched HL versions for speedrunning).
Not just, but specifically Gabe saw it as Sony trying to force developers to only make games for their console, since "That code isn't going to run anywhere else." And that Sony was betting they'd have the market share (coming from PS2) to force everyone's hand. Sony ended up being wrong, Nintendo dominated the generation, and the Xbox 360 becoming the behemoth Microsoft wanted it to. Eventually Valve really wanted to push updates, and have the steam experience on consoles, but Microsoft stonewalled them on the 360, so Sony gets all friendly, and Bam you get Portal 2 with steam crossplay. Nowadays the sides are switched again, with MS still pushing their walled garden, but at least being open to crossplay.
As I recall, console TF2 still has dozens of out of the map exploits, so you can do things like build sentry guns in the skybox on dustbowl.
Since this thread is still up, TLoU and Uncharted 2 now go ingame: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AnlihSe_q0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXsu6DQcHb0
The yellow filter makes me feel like i'm watching breaking bad
Ninja Gaiden Sigma is now Playable! I have waited many years to be able to play any version of Team Ninja's Ninja Gaiden on PC. Still would buy a PC port in a heartbeat!
