scrap and components should be removed
Please provide context and opinions before doing this type of low effort thread
What a stupid post. If you're going to post something like this, at least have some information to back up your opinion, because this is just bitching.
you failed to explain why...so you get a "baby bottle"!
too much grinding. And annoyign search for them
ALL YOU FCKING HAVE TO DO IS BREAK BARILLS THAT LEGIT ALL YOU HAVE TO DO DONT BE SO LAZY
I think this Thread should be Locked. But I suppose you can't always get what you want. Press G. Find a Road, near a radtown, establish a base. near radtown. Establish base away from radtown. Problem solved.
Although I think he probably should have at least explained why, I also agree that this system is way too grindy. I played this game non-stop during the old blueprint and XP system because it wasn't as grindy, and if you were raided, the time you put into the game wasn't completely wiped away. The issue with the XP system before, was they wiped the servers way too often for it to be implemented right. Had the servers wiped long term like they are trying to do now, the XP system would have been PERFECT. I haven't really played much of Rust in a year due to the component system and how grindy it is. I absolutely love the game still, and I want to still play, but I don't have the time to spend constantly looting, and losing it all after being offline raided. Please don't take this as me complaining because i'm not lol I am just sharing my opinion and how I've felt which probably is the same reason Plautus made this post in the first place.
no u dont feel the same. The game is horrible at its current state. Unplayable. Component system ruins all game experience. XP system and BP system both were fine. But this now....
you should try it in the current state...the little buffs they've added to monuments and better spawns over the past couple of month really make a difference (talking vanilla here). Its really not that grindy - plus you can always just go get some sulfur and raid someone = free components!
I mean I've tried playing it here and there, so I know how the current state is, I just don't play hardcore like I used to. I used to play 12+ hours a day. The past 6 months I've owned three servers so most of my time was messing with mods and really paying attention to the changes they were making to Rust so I could keep everything balanced. During the XP system, I felt like my time spent was well rewarded. There was REALLY good progression and you knew you were on the same level as others, as long as you put the time into it. You didn't lose that by getting raided over night.
.. yup, that is so. But they'll say you did not loose everything cause you learned the BPs... to which we can argue that 2k scrap to get going again is kinda grindy, especially with automatic fire caressing your rear. At the very least, let 75% of the scrap used in Workbenches be left on the spot, accessible only to the former owner.
games are supposed to be fun, looking for scrap and components isn't
Games are supposed to be fun and challenging. Looking for scrap and components (and figuring out alternative ways of getting them) - is.
So XP-System was fine??? The xp system was literally the most grindy Rust has ever been. It took a week of almost non stop farming to get to a high enough level to make some propper weapons! This just show how uninformed and/or stupid you are.
no unplayable is not being able to play it at all the graphics are to bad and you cant see the game you can still play and do everything just fine if you dont like the game dont play it but dont bring bs excuses into the game
ok for someone with low standards like u it is playable, lol
XP system was fine, just not in its current state because servers wiped every week or two. When they did the 2x XP near the end when they were changing the system, it was PERFECT. The fact that they are going for wipeless Rust would also be great for the way the XP system used to be. I am going to start playing vanilla again this Thursday though, so may opinion may change after seeing the changes they have recently made, but if not, that's my opinion of the current system.
