• HL3/TF3/L4D3/Portal3/Dota3, which is coming first?

It seems that almost all Valve games stop at '2' and currently we know nothing about the next Valve game. Release: Nov 16, 2004 -- Half-Life 2 Release: Oct 10, 2007 -- Half-Life 2: Episode Two Release: Oct 10, 2007 -- Team Fortress 2 Release: Nov 17, 2009 -- Left 4 Dead 2 Release: Apr 19, 2011 -- Portal 2 Release: Jul 9, 2013 -- Dota 2 Here are the questions. In your opinion, which 3 will most likely come first? Which 3 do you wish to come first?
Artifact 2
L4D3 is most likely going to be the first to release. Dota 3 is an unrealistic expectation, Portal 2 kinda finished the Portal story (at least with Chell), TF2 is still going strong and Source 2 isn't quite ready, and HL3 is a meme at this point. But we're likely to see a spin-off or a new IP from Valve in the coming years more than we'll see a sequel to any of these games.
ricochet 2 but unironically I'm seriously not putting it past them at this point
That's like asking which universe-ending event will happen first. Don't matter, we'll be dead by then.
I'm betting on l4d3.
L4D3 wouldn't be unwelcome. I'm long beyond the point of hoping for a conventional HL3 release so I'm just excited for the franchise I enjoyed the most after Half-Life. Not counting Portal, though, just because I feel that series is really done as far as chronological, story-driven installments go. I wouldn't be against more Portal games, but perhaps pumping out some DLC for Portal 2 might be more appropriate?
l4d3 and hl3 makes the most sense
Dota 3 and TF3 are out of the question. Both services and economies are still doing good. L4D3 would fit their current model. It's also been a while since we got a leak, and things have been quiet on that front.
L4d3
givem L4D isn't particulary lore heavy, it wouldn't be hard for them to push a sequel. it didn't stop them when L4D2 came alsmot a year after L4D1 came out.
L4D 3 - HL3 they'll outsource
My bet is on Hunt Down The Freeman 2.
CS:GO 2: Battle Royale
ricochet 2
Left 4 Dead 3, Portal 3 and 2 decades of silence
The heat death of the Universe and the Second Coming of Christ.
CSO3 if that even counts, now that the second one is closing thanks to Nexon's retarded policy... it would make sence from them to release a continuation.
My money's still on Episode 3 being a coincident with the Rapture.
Hunt down the Freeman
Left 4 Dead 3 it's tast on 3 position first start on it
Half-Life 3 is never coming out because Valve won't ever think of something that could "revolutionize" their game franchise that would feel satisfying to them.
This is something they've actually been testing out internally. I wouldn't be surprised if within the next few operations that battle royale will be a major part of it.
I thought Valve wouldn't be making new games in the near future with the current collapse of a management
l4d3 and counter strike source 2(css ported to source 2)
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive 2
I can never see TF3 happening because they'd have to ditch the brilliant art style of the original game if they want to make the game feel "new." I'd rather have them remaster TF2 on a newer engine, even if that's an impossible task that no one wants to do.
Nothing of it
dota 3 and whatever the next counterstrike would be called probably, since the current games have the most attention being thrown on them both by the community and Valve themselves. I'd still like TF2 in source 2 though, they could call it TF²
2019-2020: Left 4 Dead 3 (Flagship VR Title, available non-vr shortly afterwards) 2022: Team Fortress 3 (Game is actually TF2 ported to source2 entirely, with classes and weapons overhauled completely) 2026: Portal 3 (VR exclusive) 2030: Dota 3 (VR exclusive, with fully integrated LAN VR, allowing users to watch matches as a spectator in VR) 2035: Similar to mighty no. nine, Valve creates a new franchise mimicking Half Life, with the intent of giving closure to the story without directly sequeling it.
