My first ever car was a Mitsubishi TH Magna (otherwise called Diamante or Verada or whatever for wherever the fuck you are). What a pile of shit though; had a 3.5L V6 but no power down low because it hit peak torque at something like 5,000RPM. It had serious rooflining sagging, and the distributor shit itself so badly that it wanted to be a 1cyl before we replaced the distributor with one out of another Magna. But it was my first car, and I did have fond memories of it. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/226043/8d085af1-18fb-4d74-b1c4-b71456c55548/E0129E10-88A2-47E4-AACB-81E10686A4AD.jpeg When I was still a dumb teenager, my realistic dream car, aside from an AU XR6 obviously, was a TJ Magna VR-X. Here’s one with a dinged up front bumper, because Magna drivers of course https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/226043/166ec695-5c2d-4af8-8843-9803a09c4575/2637F41F-23DC-4292-9AB7-6092970591CD.jpeg If I really wanted to waste my money on a VR-X but with a little bit more power (like 180kW up from 162kW lol) and a childish Lancer Evo bodykit, I could have got me a Ralliart Magna https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/226043/149b173d-b30a-4c44-9167-138c2f8c8d75/CB96BB53-61B3-4D79-ACC0-46C58F064137.jpeg

Shes retired now, as I just recently just got a GTO, but in it's prime I was running a stage 2 clutch/aluminum flywheel, full bolt-ons, and a tune, all together making about 300 to the crank. Not terrible for my first car. Its just too bad about its weight...
idk about that lack of power mate, my 6g72 makes pretty good torque. at least enough to spin the wheels in second gear. speaking of which, here's the kiwi brother of the first gen magna, the v3000! https://puu.sh/zUxhy.jpg https://puu.sh/zICMD.jpg she's a relatively tired old bird, obviously a few things to tidy up here and there but a project car is a good car, especially if it's running and legal
The MMAL TH and TJ Magnas had the SOHC 6G74, unlike probably everywhere else which had the DOHC or MIVEC variants. They produced a reasonable amount of peak power, sure, but the low-range torque is characteristic of a 2.5L rather than a 3.5L. My old Magna could do a little bit of wheelspin in first, but that was it. Although I was just reminded of one time when I took the Fagna (this was back when it was still acceptable to say fag) when I went camping in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by bush turkeys. We found a field and did some sick reversies in it. The only thing the Fagna was good for. Good times.
