• EAC banning random people?

This is not a ban appeal and its not an attempt to complain about your anticheat. So lets get to it. I noticed something strange a few days ago, i checked my profile and i saw this red text on it.. Saying im blocked from the game. I've never injected a cheat into Rust, and i dont have one of those fancy script mouses. So i'm sitting here being a little confused thinking about why my skins and game just decided to walk out the door on me. I paid for this game and believe it or not, i really do enjoy playing it. But why does this happen to people who never did anything wrong in the first place. So im thinking if i didnt cheat, didnt script, this has to be a bug? Considering it's a game developer ban (ingame ban), this means someone decided to point their finger at me and told me to fck off, right? VAC and EAC bans are the ones for cheaters, isnt it? I don't know how this works, i certainly dont know how EAC works. I tried to contact facepunch directly before this, and they sendt me over to the EAC guys. Which by the way does a horrible job at dealing with clients.. And i've gotten no results so far. I've done some research on the subject and i actually found quite a few people who shares the same story as me. heck i even saw rustafied staff get EAC banned live.. I guess im asking you guys about what to do, who to talk to. I swear on my life, i did not cheat and this is without a doubt a wrongly given ban. Steam Community link to my profile. And you can clearly tell its a legit steam profile, not one of those smurfcnts
You still have to talk to the EAC guys. Facepunch can not, and will not, revert your ban. They've invested in a third party solution so that they don't have to deal with stuff like this, and EAC is a widely used system with a lot of high profile clients. If a wave of bans was found to be in error, they will be reverted.
Yeah I won't say false positives don't happen, but unfortunately so many people who cheat come to the forums and say almost exactly the same thing. And people who have lots of hours have been banned due to my reports of using cheats, so that's not a litmus test for whether someone is or isn't a cheater either. If legitimate, go through the EAC process and things will be sorted out in time.
yyyyyep, what they said. also generally it's a good idea to read the rules sticky of a forum before diving into making a thread cause all of this is explained there.
