This is seriously tragic. I know DoubleLift was never on the best terms with his parents but this is really heartbreaking.
Jesus christ what the actual fuck
There is a major lack of remorse in that guys mug shot, something in that breakup really made him snap.
Fr a moment I thought why the OP was saying lol at a murder case
Yeah, something like 'DoubleLift (pro LoL player)' would've been a little less confusing.
He looks like he's trying not to smile.
Man, I can't imagine what Doublelift must be feeling atm.
His older brother actually convinced his parents to let him go to Dreamhack (0:50 in vid)

based on previous reports from doublelift himself, his parents are the stereotypical super first gen asians. he was kicked out of his home a week? after his 18th birthday because they thought him playing games was stupid (even though he had qualified for dreamhack and was making money)
I tried, had a hard time fitting the title into Newpunchs short title limit.
I'm a big fan of Doublelift, he's the quintessential Western ADC, his career is a shining reminder that no one should push you away from doing what you want and to never give up even if your team decides your the problem not once, but twice. He's grown immensely over the years, he's a class act, honest and understands the need for trashtalking to create hype for the next matches in the League. You always get the truth from Peter. He won't sugarcoat anything. His post-game interviews are some of the most entertaining and has the most confidence among the players in the League.
His competitive drive blows my mind, eSports is and always has been a fleeting career for most in League of Legends. Not many pro players keep playing after 4 years, let alone 7 years professionally. His only break was during a bad world championship run where he went off to stream garnering tens of thousands of viewers. But even then he said he wanted to go back to playing professionally, he couldn't watch his team on the sideline win without him.
He was going to play in the finals in Miami next week for his newest team, Team Liquid after being thrown away by TSM. I don't think anyone can fathom what kind of decision that is to make to play or not under such tragic circumstances.
My deepest condolences to a legend within League of Legends and his immediate family. This breaks my fucking heart.
