why dont the devs just ip ban the hackers who dont use vpns
they do they also hardware ban
wait so do they ip ban?
as far as i have heard yes they do
so if they ip and hardware ban then how do hackers just keep buying new accs
all i know is they do hardware bans that dosent mean they do it to every single person they see cheat
They IP ban and hardware ban but hackers just use vpn's and I heard that all you need to bypass a hardware ban is a new hdd.
but what about ip address spoofing would people be falsely band.
In theory (and if you were "that" good) - yes. Can you figure out what my IP is? But please don't try to make it into another "im innocent, I was falsely banned, bcz IP spoofing" cry on these forums... Its kind of like "framing" someone for a murder by taking a gun with their fingerprints (Im way oversimplifying) - and placing it at a murder crime scene... In theory its doable...but its very hard to pull off... especially for an individual (opposed to an organization, with enough funding)...
IP Ban? Use a VPN, get a new IP, rejoin the game. Hardware Ban? Get a new HDD, rejoin game. Though the latter is not that easy because getting a new HDD isn't just plucking it off from a tree.
Exactly...I hope it hurts...esp with SSDs which can be more pricey...
Most ISPs will give you a new IP if you do a release/renew in your modem config. IP ban is pretty worthless.
where in my question did I say anything about ban and where am I crying I ask a question. keep taking the blue pills
Your question was something that at face value seems like a valid concern. The reality is it would be easy to verify the active account against an IP address and demonstrate that they are not the same player due to logged game times and account activity. Even still, the odds of someone getting an IP ban and having the same IP as another person who plays rust in the pool of players is probabilistically almost nil. At the same time I do understand where the post was that was responding to you, even if it was said harshly. I didn't get any vibe from your post that you were trying to find a justification to oppose a ban of any sort.
Here: "but what about ip address spoofing would people be falsely band." (btw you misspelled "banned") The part about "false ban and another excuse" was not directed at you - but more at the general populace of kiddies who claim they were "falsely banned".
You can spoof hardware ID's, i have done it, easy as pie
Ty
lol, I got innocently banned for "scripts" when I never had a macro n stuff but I still woudnt support a company and get a new account when they will probs ban that one because EAC is a bit trash.
If I told you every way to bypass a ban, I'd only be helping the scum hackers..
In addition to account, IP and HWID bans, we sent a big burly dude called Bert to show you what romantic love in prison is like.
They do, the problem is you can always find a way around the ban, and it's just a matter of picking up a new key dirt cheap from g2a. The problem is there is no prevention, if you take a look at the update that is coming, and even the past 2 -3 months. There has been 0 work on preventing hackers from ruining the game. You literally cannot play official. there are so many cheaters. It doesn't matter cause all they wanna do is sell games. So they don't see this as a priority, it's just another revenue stream.
I actually wish they did that. It might drastically reduce the mount of hackers/hacking ;)
Someones chattin..... A friend of mine, actually 3 of the See You Next Tuesdays purchased cheats...theyre on rust on their 2nd accounts just fine?! Steam/valve need to stop fecking about and prioritizing money over a decent experience. All FPS games on steam are just as shambolic when it comes to hackers; why fix exploits when you can profit from them - name me one banking website you can XSS/SQLi.....exactly! Banks fix their flaws; game companies profit from them.
