A couple of times especially on mobile i've accidentally rated a post that I didn't mean to and changing the rating isn't always the best option/fitting.
adding the ability to click on the rating again to remove your rating might be handy.
Yeah, no.
Just change it if it bothers you that much.
Having the ability to remove will just promote even log spamming and other issues.
It's not like this is unfixable though
Neither is an accidental rating.
That popup's coming back probably for mobile
Just have it notify you for the first rating and if they unrate or change it you don't get another.
Yeah like one time I accidentally rated a post in the math thread and now everyone is gonna think I'm a fucking nerd looking at posts in there
Clearly we just need an "Accident" rating that people can use when they change their accidentally rated post.

Most of the members here are so because they loved a game where you built shit out of props from an FPS - we're all fucking nerds.
It would be a nice quality of life feature, especially for mobile. Personally I just rate informative or cute or something neutral if i accidentally rated a post.
Rate limit the log
I tend to rate people artistic when they say something nonsensical or if I make a mistake. It's my favourite rating because it's incredibly ambiguous and can be fairly amusing to me.
