I'm running firefox 59.0.2 and I can't see any twitter embeds.
Here's what it looks like in chrome with all extensions disabled:

Something's up with your firefox, I put a twitter embed in my profile and it works fine

Huh OK, I went digging in my settings and it turns out that I had "Tracking Protection" under privacy set to always. Turning this off, or setting it to private tab only fixed the issue.

You can disable tracking protection on a per-site basis. Better than disabling it globally.
Problem is firefox says that there are no tracking elements on the page, despite twitter links not working.

So I can't actually do that. But that's ok, this is a price I'm willing to pay to streamline my LMAO pics browsing experience.
