I'd be fine with it returning on the condition that it just gets renamed to "Creepy". You'd still get the connotation without having "Child Molester" written everywhere.
Child Molester was bit of a joke rating, it didn't have the same impact as Dumb. Personally I'd like the icon for that to be even darker, Dumb doesn't seem to have as much weight when it's such a pale/light color.
I just imagine that if I'd been abused as a child it might be less than pleasant to see "Child Molester" everywhere.
"Creepy" would be a legit rating.
"creepy" should still have the CM icon though because it's perfect
garry should revert the molester rating, remove the ability to rate that rating, and create an all new dumb rating so the dan schneider thread remains a pedo-esque post and not a box post.
it's like how the old forum changed ratings, you could see old posts be rated things you can't rate with anymore
We could be helping to provide key evidence to a crime, suddenly people will realise "Hey I've been rating this guy CM quite a lot and so has everyone else"
when i was a child, i went on a school excursion to a post office and this HUGE pile of cardboard boxes fell on me. thankfully they were empty or i might not be here to tell you this story. BUT ever since i have had a fear of boxes. do you hear me complain when people rate my posts dumb? no.
I don't mind much whether CM comes back or not. I mean, I was mainly glad to see it go because I know there was an endeavor to make it the de facto "dumb" rating, so it was always hard to tell if people were giving the rating because they thought the person was dumb, or because they thought the post actually sounded like something a child molester would say. But now that we have an actual Dumb, Child Molester actually has its own niche.
But also I'm not sure how necessary that niche is
CM was the best thing about nu-punch and now it's gone.

just call it creep or whatever

Creep would definitely be a far more appropriate label, and also easier to adapt to different posts. Child molester was just too... specific.
Definitely keep the icon though, the icon is perfect

Also Coin and Diamond should be separated from the rest but close to each other.
As someone who has experienced both box mishaps and actually getting molested as an actual child I found the experience of having boxes fall all over me much less impactful.

I think a "gross" rating would be even more useful than creep, since it could cover any post that would deserve creep and also to other things that are just gross in general.
I went through the trouble of finding JWJ's last post so I could use the rating in the most appropriate way possible, all for nothing
Generally, informative or disagree are used for that
I think it should come back as a gross/creepy/scary, and use the 😱 emoji as the rating image
