What annoys the hell out of you in your own car?
For me it's mostly the lack of power. Jeep's got an i4 2.5 TD engine, instead of the i6 petrol one so it's much lazier.
My Nissin currently has this really, really, REALLY annoying buzzing rattling sound that comes from the clutch pedal. It just starts going rbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrrbrbrbrbrb at like 2k randomly and sticks around for a while, seems to go and come and go for no reason. Whatever it is its going to be a time consuming or expensive fix since transmission, so I've just been letting it rattle on for a couple years. That and my heat shields rattle, too. And some unidentified squeaks.
Lil hard to source noises irritate the fuck outta me.
My jetta has a habit of always having something break or stop working only a short while after fixing the previous issue.
That and it has the 2.slow in it
In my audi there's this silent buzzing sound coming from my left air vent at around 2000 rpm. So to not get irritated by this i always go higher on rpms ,but that always ends up in me speeding. Or alternatively i just put the music loud enough to not her it. Why do these little fucking sounds irritate me so much
High cost of operation due to government taxes. Sucking all the joy out of automotive as a hobby.
Don't own a car at the moment, but there is a noise from my motorbike between 20-40mph that sounds like a chain rubbing against something, except the noise is only there when power is being applied or the clutch is out. Can't work out the noise for the life of me

My car's timing belt tensioner is leaking a small amount of hydraulic fluid and starting to rattle a bit in between 2500-3500 rpm.

The goddamn bruised paint of my car and the lack of power of a 1.2 Clio. I just feel slow and a burden in traffic.
My girlfirends car will not allow me to connect the bluetooth to my phone while the car is in motion. I'M A PASSENGER !!!!!!!!!

My Fiesta ST has horrible rev hang in the 1-3 gears which makes it a pain to get a smooth shift. The only way to get rid of it is an ECU tune which would instantly void my warranty.
My 1.9 TDI annoys me because the turbo setup isnt mean to last forever
I had an Intergra when I was in college that was a beater. Wheel bearings would make a lot of noise, and the shitty discount tires that were on it roared at freeway speeds. Plus, the antenna was broken off and I was too much of a jackass to replace it so when I would drive home from school to visit family/friends the radio would cut out in between cities. I bought a converter that would hook into a cigarette lighter and give me a wall socket to plug a boombox into. Crank the music, boom, no more wheel bearing noise.
Sold that car for $1,500 to some hillbilly in town who didn't even look at it before I signed the title over to him.
Turning radius of doom and there's no single windshield wiper swipe button. I have to turn them on, then off.
Creeps forward without touching the accelerator when in drive.
Interior rattling/creaks over bumps and stuff drives me insane. The injectors on my T5 motor are pretty fuckin loud and annoying too, which is apparently just a thing on these cars.
My car creeps really badly, faster than almost any other car around me, if traffic is too slow I put it in "winter mode" so it sits in 3rd instead of 1st
Sunroof drains that just leak into the car.
Any sort of work at all that isn't electrical on my Audi. I'm not the mechanic type, I'm an electrical engineer. Tbh I should just buy a hybrid or electric car at this point.
even though in my opinion, sync 3 is like the least bad incar infotainment system i've seen, i still have a few complaints
previous version of sync 3 flashed the reverse sensor info on the screen when shifting from reverse into park, like it turned the backup cam off but kept the sensors on for a moment. so i updated promptly to the current version of sync 3 which fixes this.
by flashing sync 3 on the screen every time you shift to/from a movement gear from drive or reverse. which would be fine, until i use android auto which means every time i park android auto turns off for a second

Depends what you get. If you go for anything Mountune (not sure you can get their stuff in the US) then it doesn't void the warranty as Mountune do tuning work for Ford Racing. Though I would recommend getting a remap anyway, they basically improve everything about the driving experience.
I've never driven an automatic that didn't do that honestly
He's got an electric car, not a regular automatic.
This is for people who are stupid and can't understand the concept of a car not doing that. Also helpful I guess if you have nerve damage and can't press the accelerator softly enough.

When I'm at highway speeds and my windows are open, I get a buzzing noise coming from what I suspect is the cabin air intake. It gets worse when I press the button to recirculate air in the car instead of outside air. It goes away when I turn the air on to about 3 though. I think it's probably a bad seal somewhere but I think I'll probably have to dismantle the entire dashboard to fix it.
Golly gee where do I begin. My Ranger is fucking stupid.
It's an '99 XLT trim level, but has no power windows, mirrors, or locks yet the majority of XLT's during those years had them iirc and is an extended cab with no suicide doors so I have to constantly push the seat forward to get to my shit in the back yet every fucking Ranger of the same year I see has suicide doors.
Also it lacks power.
But I still love it.
