I've always wanted to get a '67 chevrolet impala after I first watched Supernatural.
Apparently you can fit a body in the trunk too.
i love them too but that show's fandom has ruined it
and now i can reliably guesstimate I will never find an affordable 67 impala thanks to those dweebs
I own a 1977 Camaro, and a lot of the stigma about classic cars being a big responsibility is really over hyped I've found. I can't speak for all of them obviously, but I got mine with a pristine body and paint job but work needed on the engine and exhaust. Parts are cheap, plentiful, and a lot of little things I just learned to do myself.
I found that as soon as you get everything squared away and checked over with a good mechanic they are just as reliable as any other car. I pretty much daily drive mine during the fair months (April-November). Even took it on a roadtrip to see the eclipse totality last summer, was around 2200 miles round trip. Not a hiccup. Gas isn't cheap, but it's not ridiculous either.
Maintaining the body and paint isn't a big deal either. The dudes that baby their car and don't drive it a lot or worry about petty shit like rain really miss out. A wash and wax every few weeks is fine for mine. I really just am wary of salt on the roads so I always make sure there's been a few good days of rain after any sudden snows up here in NY.
If you really want one, I say go for it. Classic American muscle is incredibly fun to own and drive.

if i didn't live in new england, i'd daily a classic in a heartbeat
When I lived at home I’d daily a 67’ mustang. I miss those days!
