The musicianship and quality of the recording brings this album to a height and only accentuates the vibrant african/cuban rhythms. definitely one of my favourites when we talk about sparking interest in world music.
glad to have a classic thread back https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1752/b389156b-f0a1-470b-8b61-07ed896b8135/kuva.png https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tegE7QyWVXM ignore Nick Mason's name being slapped on the cover, it's a Carla Bley album that the label thought would sell better if they slapped his name on it even though he just plays the drums very playful art rock album, there's some awful lyrics on it but it's a blast to listen to

It's jarring to have listened to their work for a while now and hear pop up in fucking BMW commercials (especially considering the subject matter). Passover is like a Vietnam war concept album, moody and psychedelic hell.
Naked City - Grand Guignol https://cps-static.rovicorp.com/3/JPG_500/MI0002/069/MI0002069370.jpg?partner=allrovi.com This album is ridiculous, mind-numbingly insane but hilariously entertaining. Composed by John Zorn, mostly made up of 30 - 60 second jazz/punk songs with a little Japanese man screaming over it. Head-phones warning. https://youtu.be/9GJJTj0RTCM?t=41m55s Started at Bonehead, probably the most recognisable song to most.
