• Firstperson spectating issues

I've been having a lot of trouble with getting firstperson spectating working as smooth for spectators as it is for the player they're spectating. Player/ViewPunch for example when called on server doesn't network to spectators, making the recoil look very off. It all seems to boil down to predicted swep functions not being called clientside for spectators, which is something I'd find natural. Spectators want to see a replication of what the player they're spectating is seeing, so the same code should run. Other source games like CS:S doesn't have any apparent spectating issues, so this feels like something that's very fixable, I'm just not sure how. Am I initiating the spectating wrong or something? Is there some trick that I don't know of? Or is this just broken in garrysmod?
How do you do the spectating? The only time I've seen first person spectating was in Murder and I don't think I noticed anything off then.
