• Subscribed threads pinned to the top?

Would it be possible to have subscribed threads pinned to the top of their subforum? It'd make keeping track of threads a bit easier, I think, now that we're encouraged to make more of them.
I don't know about pinning them but there should be a way to quickly access them for sure, other than getting an alert for it.
For me that'd be preferable as well, but I don't remember whether garry was opposed to the subscriptions page or not. I vaguely remembering him being against it because then people didn't navigate the forums, or something. Just an alternative.
That is the exact reason Garry has said he isn't making a page like that
So he wants it to be harder to find what we are looking for? I don't understand .
He wants us to actually browse the forums.
But how is it enjoyable for the end user if you have to dig through a bunch of shit and stuff you are uninterested in just to get to the stuff you are interested in.
You don't have to dig at all. If you're really only interested in one thread then subscribe to it and bookmark it.
Yes but once mega threads are completely phased out. It's gonna to be a constant cycle of finding what you are interested in. Subscribe to the thread, and then do it again in a day or two when that thread dies since we are moving towards single subject threads that are meant to die within a day or two.
I would loosely follow like 10 threads, and go check them once they got ~4+ new posts, which often took a day or two at a time. I'm not going to make 10 bookmarks for threads I have a slight interest in, and I really don't care enough to want notifications for every new post. So, instead, I just follow less threads on FP.
While the current less-megathreads proposition has many flaws, I agree that some exposure is better than no exposure. Forcing users to 'browse the forum' exposes other users, interests and their activities, but having to scour for engagement is tedious. There need to be a good balance. Pinning most recently subscribed threads to the bottom of their subforum sounds like a good compromise.
This. Mainly because as people subscribe to more and more threads, that thing garry apparently want's us to do, the pinned threads will take up more and more space on the page if you don't manually go in and unsubscribe from threads.
I feel 'Latest threads' section on the main page helps with exposure way more than manual browsing. Old fp_read had latest created threads as well and it was incredibly useful.
