I used to make a lot of giant slides back when I played on build servers.
C&C is appreciated as always!
i have no criticism, it's incredible
my computer cant handle a quarter of this props

my new favorite
I don't think I'd even have the patience to ever create something like this.
I think this is the most realistic-looking screenshot you've made so far (although, that is highly subjective, I suppose)
Appreciate the comments!
Thanks, I really try to resemble digital camera outputs as much as possible, I think I've found a pretty fixed 'pipeline' for taking a 'computery' render and squeezing more realism out of it, I might do a guide if there's interest
No fucking way, this was made in gmod? Thats crazy 😲
oh there DEFINITELY is
oh my god, you fucking madman
Superb, epic, and the soundtrack choice is excellent. I just kept looking at the picture for about 10 minutes just smiling at it and all the details.
I really like how you combined the blue terrain rocks with the regular ones, it looks like a nice construction site terrain mess. I also think it's a great idea that you added these additional screenshots of the bigger resolution aspects. The details on the rusted metal beams that the structure is made out of is fantastic as well, like a mix between rust and dust. Looking closer I also found a hobo in a hoodie by the end of the railing.
Additionally, nice touch of editing away the duplicated slide look from before. Adding some care tire traces certainly fixed that.
The merger of the sky with the growing dusty winds in the distance is a fabulous touch as well, certainly makes one appreciate the height of this construction.
It also is a very interesting story as well. From what I gather, the cranes were used to lift the vehicles on top of the slide? Was the rag doll stairs map a part of this inspirations (the one where you spawn very high up and keep rolling down these stairs once you die)?
By the way, I think another reason this picture stands out so well is the soft light of the sky. It's not a concrete strong sun light, but rather the occasional sun burst through an opening cloud crevice.
Thanks for all that insight! Yeah you're spot on - cranes lift vehicles up and there's separate paths as well for Humans. Main inspiration for the picture weren't the stairs map but bigass slides I used to make back in build servers - I'd place giant rock prop spawners at the top so they'd tumble down the slide as I drove on it. When I had to decide on the build style itself I was inspired by the Quidditch towers style:

As to the sky, I wanted to go for a sunnier, bloomier style at first, I made a very detailed lightbounce scan:

and as a consequence the light style of the sun itself was very intense visually, so much that it washed away other opportunities to play with other light sources, so I lowered the overall opacity and ended up with much softer light than intended, glad to know that worked out for the better
I'm getting a strong Simon Stålenhag vibe from your most recent artworks. Absolutely stunned.
This piece for me is basically eye-food.
This work deserves all diamonds in the world
