• How long do you think this game will last until it gets abandoned by the masses

I guess six months
Might remain around a little bit though once Save the World goes free to play later this year
12 year olds are notorious for "big thing" hopping so I'd wager until a new BR game with a new gimmick comes out.
I'd be ok with that. Fortnite being a normie game means squad fill almost always gives you people that have no mics, can't shoot, and don't build.
in order for it to get abandoned it first has to have a following
Depends. If they stick completely to BR? Whenever that dies. If they actually start adding new gamemodes? Probably not for a while. They've already got a big map and are capable of running hundred-player servers with 4-player squads on teams of 50, so, why not just throw some Battlefield gamemodes and shit in there?
A Director Mode would be great. Since, you know, the actual Fortnite gamemode(STW is the core of Fortnite, not BR development-wise) is PvE, mixing it up by giving some players ability to spawn husks and other enemies from PvE would be great IMO
Zombie Master gamemode pls The perfect PvPvE
Epic added hoverboards to PvE a while ago, so they could do something with that as well
I accidentally created a bit of a jump course on one map. I intended it to be fast access using jump pads but these two ninjas were having a blast and added more and more jump pads to have them fly across the map with their double jump. It was actually really fun and we still beat the mission. Ive thought about the idea of a hoverboard course using boost pads but that's still just an idea.
Someone made something like that and it got stupid popular on reddit and the devs commented on it and that's why we've got the boost pads now.
My randos are never that interesting, we just sorta complete missions and move on, most of the time not talking at all
I think its at the point where it wont really 'die', at least not any time soon. Will it drop below its peak and level out somewhere? Definitely, probably soonish tbh, but if it was just going to be a flash in the pan and then basically die, I think it woulda by now. The last super big 'trend' game I was into on this scale was Pokemon Go and that lasted like a month so, that might have affected my perception on this though
Are you implying fortnite isn't massively popular right now? I'm not an avid fan but I can't help but see references it to literally everywhere now
I hear kids on trains talk about it now. That's peak popularity right here
