My lil bro and all of his friends are obsessed with Roblox. There's a gamemode which basically copies Battlefield/CoD right down to the maps and such and the whole XxXx420noscopexXxX montage type thing has gone full circle and is all the rage with the kids on there at the minute, I thought he may as well get something from it so I bought him Vegas and now he probably knows more about video editing than me.
I have played it a bit here and there just to mess about when bored but it feels kinda uncomfortable knowing I'd legit be playing with children most of the time, I don't know if Roblox netcode just wan't designed for the kinda stuff its used for now but I feel like most of the time its a horribly laggy mess as well which can make some stuff really unsatisfying to play.
so glad he talked about A Way Out, probably one of my favourite streamer games so far this year
Just tried Redout's demo. Shit's fun a hell. Give it a go.
I remember renting The Club back when Blockbuster was still a thing. I don't remember it being bad per say, but I do remember thinking it was pretty average in everything but the gameplay.
I was going to call out the video for clickbait by putting sexy ladies on the thumbnail, but then I went to Ironsight's homepage, and no joke, this is how they're advertising the game:

There's no sexy ladies in the actual game as far as I can tell. Is this the FPS equivalent of Evony?
I checked out Ironsight's site since it sounded a little interesting and

Ironsight knows their target audience: CoD, bros, memes, and hot chicks
Sounds like the game has a bright future.
When it comes to sexy ladies in a videogames, I don't think anything can just top Scarlet Blade

Ironsight is great for a beta, but who knows which way it will go. If they really want to blow up among the COD community they should just jump on the Battle Royale cliche before actual COD does (As hinted by the BR beta on COD Online).
The only thing annoying is that you can't throwables permanently, makes me avoid their purchase.
I hate any game with temporary weapons or weapons with durability. That shit can fuck off to the worst part of hell.
Doesn't seem the worst in Ironsight, gave it a go after this as well.
The rate you earn money is low but the amount of money you get just from playing seems to totally eclipse the amount of money it costs to repair guns, so unless I'm missing something or it gets substantially more expensive to repair guns I can't really see this being an issue. Since it doesn't look like you can buy weapons with real money anyway (Unless buying the premium weapon skins also unlocks the weapon?) it doesnt look like this is intended to force you into using real money like it is in other games.
My only gripe with the game is the time to kill is far higher than in CoD, I'm not sure if its high damage falloff or just netcode but sometimes you can get 3 headshots on someone back to back with an AR at medium distance and it just gets them to low health.
except the develepor is notorious for making f2p games perfectly balanced in the open beta and then making it p2w after release
That's my worry. It's the old bait-and-switch business model. Publishers keep doing it because it works. Hell, even Call of Duty itself is like this now, with Activison making the developers patch in pay-to-win weapon crates months after the game has launched.
I honestly prefer durability systems over that godawful weapon renting system where time elapses whether you're actually playing the game or not. S4 League is the only F2P game that I know of that only counts down during gameplay instead of global time
Holy fucking shit.
I actually tried Phantom Forces just for the heck of it and despite the maps being a bit shit it's a genuinely fun shooter.
Bit late, but for those who care I actually made a thread for Phantom Forces now: Roblox Phantom Forces
I keep coming back to I despite me owning several other AAA FPS.
Thanks a lot, Raycevick.
