I despise BR type gameplay but I really quite enjoy STW. I'm power level 28 right now. Anyone else here play STW?
@Hallowieners my dude
I've been thinking about picking up STW, is it any good?
I actually rather enjoy it a lot, but it definitely is a time sink.
PL 56, taking a bit of a break but I've had an absolute blast in the time I've played. If you have any questions ask away.
PL 24 right now, the grind is real. I enjoy it when I have a goal in mind, especially the missions. SSD's can eat my entire ass.
I'm PL 38, I take breaks from the game but come back to play it every week or so. A little more if there's a limited time event or new addition.
I've been wanting to try it ever since the original Fortnite came out but massively mixed reviews from both main review sites and my friends made me hesitant to try it, and now that they're just going to give it for free I think I'll just wait on it.
I just bought STW recently and LOVE it! I'm only power lvl 6 right now, but if anyone wants to play together I have the same name as my forum username.
I'm in the upper teens of power levels but haven't touched it in a while, mostly due to work, and friends being drawn to some other games at the moment. A lot more fun building trap lanes and defending stuff when you're playing with friends instead of randos, that's for sure Got it on sale for $20 at the end of february I think, felt very much worth that but I couldn't really see it as a $40 game in its current state. STW is a blast to get into, sure, but I can see where it starts to stagnate for people in its current state. Hopefully with the success of BR they're devoting more developing power back to the core of the game moving forward yall can find me as daisura on epic
I'm impressed by how many people just want to trade. Like. Play the game you shits. Grr.
I know it's common sense, but don't trade. No ingame support for it and people can easily just run with your items. Only way to make it safe is with a trusted middleman, in which none exist.
It's amazing because these level of scamming worked on me....back in Diablo 2. Which had a trading system. I was young and stupid and learned the hard way. These people are just stupid. I even gave away a bunch of my nuts and silver to a guy who lost his legendary item to a scammer. I should've done nothing but I needed backpack space
Trading is dumb to begin with because the majority of weapons "traded" don't even have weapon perks. For goodness sake, just play the bloody game.
Power level 39 I believe, I like STW and sometimes stream it when I have time. Hope to stream it more once I'm done with uni shit soon.
This new update has some awesome quality of life improvements. 2000 base building material stacks and you can upgrade up to 5k. Also huge improvements to Outlanders, no more fragments.
Every time I think about the issues I have with the game they release a patch that fixes some of them. I'm glad that they are constantly improving the game instead of leaving it in the dust like you would expect them to after BR gamemode's explosion.
I'm only like PL 12 or somewhere around that atm and the game is ez pz so far. Does it get harder in the later levels because I really enjoy making intricate forts but there's really no incentive too when I can just blast shit in the face
Im at player level 38 and the laserbeam dudes are bane of my existance and forts get fucked in a blink of an eye. It's an absolute necessity to not only build and upgrade all your structures(having a Constructor with BASE helps) but it's also crucial to have traps along the track of the husks. Most the pubbies ignore it, even after I tell them about it, and we end up getting fucked in the ass and I have to save the day by quickbuilding walls and traps.
Just to add on to RockerRacer. Do not upgrade beyond level 3 on weapons till you're in the 3rd city or well-off on 3-star materials. You get fucked if you don't have a good stash of Malachite. You can figure out most stuff if you read the descriptions of materials you find, even rare ones become common later on in the game.
PSA: There's a free Legendary Troll Stash Llama in the store atm. At least I think it's for everyone, because I got one.
I had enough V-bucks to buy the Legendary Troll Stash Truck llama for 1.5k, here are the results: https://i.imgur.com/JMnXirP.png https://i.imgur.com/TKhEb7y.png Not as bad as I thought it would be. Didn't get any super exciting weapons though. Finally got a submachine gun though, even though they are probably trash I always wanted one. Legendary Deathstalker is damn nice because I've got an Epic one that I'm using, so that's a cool upgrade!
I'm still flabbergasted by these quality of life improvements. I'm on board with basically every change from the recent patch. It's such a weird feeling to have devs making a game better when updating it instead of shittier and breaking things like Valve does.
Just an FYI: Repair Shelter missions are borked. Gotta wait for a fix
I really wanna try STW the BR portion of the game is okay but I was more interested in the PVE since it was announced. I hope it is released soon.
FYI: I am a huge wrong
I got my first Malachite gun today. Upgraded the new neon assault rifle to 3 stars because it's just so damn good. I got incredibly lucky with perk rolls and Bulletstorm Jonesy is honestly amazing, can't wait to get him and the assault rifle legendary.
What is it with PL 30-40's with guns that absolutely melt everything? Like, I know they have to be trading for them, but that's not sustainable.
I recently picked up Fortnite: STW, anyone interested in grouping up? (PL15/Europe)
I play from time to time, you can catch me on Discord and if I'm on I can help with missions and whatever stuff.
