On the list of 'news headlines that make me happy', this has to rank pretty damn high.
was wondering why everything has been quiet on the mueller/ trump front for the past week or so
Now I wonder what we'll see on the Twitter front as a response to this.
Witch hunt maybe?
So you're raiding my office huh? Says who?
Good, get fucked Cohen.
It's also yuuuuuuuuuuge. It was a no-knock warrant, meaning they literally kicked the doors in because they suspected evidence would be tampered with.
It also means the FBI must suspect that there is key information not covered by attorney-client privilege. This would either be related to the Stormy Daniels case (Trump denying knowledge would mean that Cohen was not acting as his attorney) or because A-C privilege is pierced when communications between an attorney and client are themselves used to further a crime, which also has to then have been committed.
That's not all - it gets better!

Smile for the textbooks, kids.
Robert Mueller, and the agents working in his team, are national heroes, and will be celebrated as such forever.
But remember guys, Trump is not under criminal investigation... yet :^)
Don't count your eggs before they hatch
expect a load of misdirection and gaslighting from the orange in chief tonight or tomorrow morning
...don't you mean chickens? I mean you probably should count your eggs, I'd be worried if I somehow had more chickens than eggs
idk what you're getting at because regardless of whether or not trump goes down, Mueller is on a path to drain the executive branch of multiple traitors. Either way, he and his team have already executed multiple heroic acts that are hopefully the first steps to restoring some dignity to the executive branch
And I'm going to be sitting gleefully watching this
yea this lol. i'm not gettin hyped over anything until charges are presented, and then there's always the chance of him squirming free regardless.
Look, Michael Cohen was an extremely low-level... *squints at bio* Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization and personal lawyer to Donald Trump
Trump's primary method of avoiding repercussions for his actions has always been to settle out of court. He can't do that this time.
Michael Cohen and Trump never met obviously! Just a lowly coffee getter!

Oh SHIT she got them. Mueller is finished, can't believe he didn't think of that
No, but he can gradually degrade public opinion regarding the Mueller probe by way of constant and incessant propaganda. Since the intricacies of the probe (and thus the magnitude of the charges) are beyond the understanding of the common observer, Trump is hoping to cast enough doubt on his investigators that if and when articles of impeachment are referred to the House of Representatives, a significant enough portion of the electorate won't care enough to demand impeachment.
Trump doesn't see a way out through the U.S. legal system. And why should he? He's a lifelong criminal and a pathological liar. His entire financial and political strategy depends on his ability to manufacture chaos and use it as a smokescreen to obscure his crimes. It's the one thing he's actually good at, so it's natural that he would lean more and more heavily on this strategy as his legal options dwindle.
Yeah, like this hasn't been cleared through about 9000 levels of FBI and SDNY federal judges, lawyers, magistrates.... I'm sure there's more, but raiding the lawyer of a sitting president is not something they'd take lightly.
Holy shit, this guy just quit and he already got no-knock raided.
Its heating up, boys.
I feel like it will go down as one of those things where the two sides see the historical significance entirely opposite than the other. Like Regan or Jimmy Carter. Many conservatives will think it's bullshit and liberals will hail him as a hero. At least for the first few months/years. Gonna take awhile to undo Fox News propaganda.
