The sequel/prequel/sidequel(?) to the original Steins;gate! S;G 0 is an even darker version of Steins;gate set in an alternate divergence where at the end of S;G Okabe, instead of trying to save Kurisu simply gives up and becomes a depressed shell of his former self! Its officially airing on April 11th 2018, with Crunchyroll having the official simulcast license, and Funimation having the simuldub license. Before you start watching S;G 0, please watch the original series (the OVA and movie aren't canon) and then make sure to watch "Steins;Gate: Kyoukaimenjou no Missing Link" (also known as episode 23b) as it sets up the events of S;G 0.
Prepare for it to be really bad.
"enjoy it as it's own work"
oh huh that's happening this month, i forgot about it already knowing chiyo, i'm sceptical
Looking forward to it, though I totally didn't know about Episode 23b/the OVA. Thanks for the heads up, I better get around to watching that soon.
0 the game is excellent, I hope they do it justice.
they rewrote the story from the ground up to condense the two routes into one iirc honestly i hope the ending won't feel as rushed as the game's true ending
watched ep 1. i forgot steins gate was pretty cool. steins gate 0 is pretty cool too.
It was ok, I thought the directing was a bit bland and there were too many shots of characters eyes so they didn't have to draw the rest of the scene
First thing heard is "Mayo-nee-san" off to a great start Good thing it sets its mood later. Waiting for next week's mahoworried
Watching this week's episode, I can really appreciate the fact that they got a native Japanese VA to voice act an English speaking European speaking Japanese with a noticeable English accent. I'm a native English speaker who can also speak Mandarin Chinese but sure as heck can't speak English with a Chinese accent.
that guy bleeds 'im an antagonist' to me. wonder if what they'll be do. also that cgi kurisu. moe.
the professor is finnish last I remember
Latest episode was good. I haven't played the VN so I can't compare it to that but I read the Epigraph trilogy when it was a thing and it's almost the same and I liked the manga anyway so I have no complaints. The only issue I have with the VN and anime is Okabes hair.
Also in around 2 weeks from now you can get the English version of STEINS;GATE 0 on Steam.
series seems to be progressing relatively quickly compared to the VN 🤔 Then again it's also been a year and a half since I played it
No it's very fast paced I feel like they've skipped almost all establishing scenes and jumped to the middle of the scenes.
it's been so long since i saw the original series that i had no clue who some of the characters were at the party in the last episode
Well almost half of the characters at the party weren't actually in the original anyways so it kinda makes sense.
Having read (what is available of) the Epigraph Trilogy and the VN and can safely say that Epigraph Okabe is best Okabe.
Damn that scene after the ED in the new ep
Sch a good episode. I didn't believe they would actually end it there. I already platinumed the VN but I am hype as hell for.nezt week
Today's episode felt different. But damn a lot more emotional ;_;
Latest episode spoilers This episode took place on a worldline somewhere in alpha, given that Kurisu is alive and Mayuri isn't. The difference here is that, I'm guessing, Kurisu successfully confessed to Okabe before he deleted the "stabbed" D-Mail from Echelon, and caused him to reconsider and stay in alpha. Which is why Kurisu chose her D-Mail to be "Don't come in": it was able to delay herself from entering the apartment for long enough that the deletion was already in-progress when her confession started, and she was cut off mid-sentence as a result. But why didn't the Rounders invade the lab in this worldline? What was the message (if any) that caused the worldline to switch to this one? I hope the anime gives an answer to these questions, because the SG0 VN sure as hell didn't.
Because the call was made, a butterfly effect was created. SERN gained dominance of the future, which means fuckery in the past
I would say that is about half true. I believe the general consensus is that SRRN doesn't actually notice the message right away and they are deleting it before they see it.

If anyone cares, this channel has been dumping a lot of the OST for the show. You can finally listen to the duet version of A Song Played by the Stars, as God intended https://youtu.be/PLWmAOPTDk4
