Ive now watched chinook fly over and around the map on 3 separate occasion and not drop its crate any of those times. Are their certain parameters that need to be met for a crate to drop? or does it circle the island for a period of time before dropping?
I assumed that it flew to a monument, circled and cleared enemies before dropping its crate(and crate symbol appeared on map) but whenever ive seen chinook the crate doesnt follow

A helicopter (chinook) drops a crate and players have to fight for it to get the loot. The crate has a locked keypad that takes 15 minutes to access but any time the key lock is shot the process is delayed a bit.
The reason the chinook did not drop a crate could be a glitch or maybe it was shot down and did not drop anything (when it is shot down it might not drop anything).
I dont even know if you could shoot it down, but from what I heared, if it crashes for whatever reason it will drop the crate at the crashsite.
