• Make Rust Easier To Start Out In

Starting a new game of rust can be very challenging, one minute you will be farming a tree as a fresh spawn, the next you have an arrow in your skull. It is far to difficult to start a new game because of all the things you need to do before logging off. you need to get tools and resources so that you can build a base, when you have done this you need to make your entire base stone so that you don't get flame raided while offline. by the time you have done all this you will have wasted a couple hours just trying to do all of these things. Also upkeep is especially annoying because with the limited things you have to start out with, it becomes a chore to have to treat the game as almost a second job, requiring you to log in every day to farm for resources so that your base doesn't decay... However you could fix this by making the resources required to manage your base far cheaper therefor no longer needed to treat the game as if its your job if you can only get on every other day.
Well, it's a game. If the hours you are wasting aren't fun, then you should play something else.
Building a base is easy, finding that sweet spot that suits you is the hard part. My OCD kicks in when I start fresh. it goes like. Is it hidden? Are there animals? How many trees? Is this Snoop Dogg's grow field? Are there any Nodes nearby? is it near a good rad town? is there no massive zerg base nearby. If a area is lacking in one of those things I usually pass it up... I probably should just stick with 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7.
would you rather start out with an LR?
Oh my god this is so much me. I'm glad that I'm not the only one Mainly the thing about the trees.
Pretty much a given for me too
same... learn a good 1x2 starter build - then practice it on sandbox untill you can build it in your sleep...in under 30 sec... with your hands tied... ...and then practice building it with no building plans or the hammer :P but seriously - starter 1x2 (2 door airlock and 1 door deep mid-base) is all it takes and upkeep is a joke...
Rust isn't a game you play for 30 minutes a day. It's supposed to take a few hours to get setup, that's the dedication you have to give this game.
but you could play it 30min/day though... its all about finding that sweet spot... in terms of server, map, base size, and your own + your friend's schedule... I've played from 8hr/day to 30min/day depending on how busy I am in a given week
you can start up ez on officials idk what tf ur talking about. PS cant remember the last time ive been flame raided.
