Actually it’s pretty common for politicians to go into lobbying and advocacy for things they opposed or wrote policies on since they have inside knowledge on the workings of it.
either that, or they were lying about their opinion on it to toe the line the entire time, as we've seen with multiple republican senators who were famously publically anti-lgbt getting caught having gay sex in their offices
I just want to point out, does "Boehner" sounds like it spells BAY-NER to you?
To me it sounds like it should spell "burner". But hey if I was in his position, anything but boner would be fine for me
