https://www.dualshockers.com/bethesdas-pete-hines-promises-variety-e3-2018-lineup/ “I couldn’t give you any guesses as to what we’re going to announce and when those games will be out. But I will say, we have a lot of new stuff to talk about at E3. Whether or not folks realize it, this is the hell on Earth time for us with E3. We are in the midst of so much planning and work for all of that content but I’m really excited. I think we have a lot of stuff that folks are going to like. To my earlier comment, it’s going to be a big mix of stuff that’s all over the place. It’s not going to be like all [one] kind of game or genre. It’s going to be a lot of stuff in a lot of different areas and hopefully, there’s something in there for everybody.” please Todd
Probably worth mentioning that Pete Hines said on twitter right after he was really fucking tired during those interviews and barely remembers what he said in any of them.
I dunno, that seems to really be stretching it.
Doom 2 would be hype, i did love wolf2

To be fair, lots of people just call it doom, and wolfenstein followed the same logic
I wouldn't be surprised if they did, but I feel like they'd want a little more time to work on it.
It's inevtiable that DooM II will be a thing, pretty sure because of what happened during the cycle it won't be a thing this quickly, even if Zeni wants an "iron in the fire" zeitgeist turn around on it.
I heard it mostly called DOOM 2016. Canny wait for DOOM 2016 2.
Doom 4 took forever to make because they had to keep scrapping it because they couldn't figure out what Doom should be. A fast-moving, maze-like shooter? A Doom 3-style horror shooter? A Doom RPG type thing? A clone of any number of shooter flavors of the month? Eventually they hit on the winning combination of ideas, but it took loads of experimentation to get there. Now that the formula is figured out, they ought to be able to extend it pretty easily. A simple expansion pack could be knocked out in a year, and a solid sequel in two or three. They spent some time on the VR stuff but I doubt they threw 100% of their resources onto VFR.
Ultimate Doom was a rerelease of the original doom with additional content, so that doesn't really work. Doom 2016, Doom 2018, so on works
What if they use letters instead of numbers this time? And call it DOOM TWO.
Doom Dos wait
I thought we had already stablished that it's DººM 1, 2, 3 and then DooM
Honestly, I'd be down for a Hell-on-earth setting with Doom 2016's beautiful visuals. Hopefully they bring back some of the Doom 2 monsters too
Doom too?
As the modern Doom is Doom 4 to me, i probably won't give a shit about what it's called and call it Doom 5. Also, as much as I wanna see a co-op mode similar to Quake 1, I dunno how that would work since there's only one Doomguy and the power-ups are literal demons that possess or kill those lesser than him.
I guess a 2019 release wouldn't be out of the picture since DOOM 2016 came out in May and was shown at E3 2015. I think I read somewhere that the 2016 game took about 3 years to make once they had finally decided what it was going to be. It just got stuck in development hell, and they scrapped that whole Call of Doom thing that Doom 4 was initially. I'd definitely be fine with more new Doom.
The other day, friends and I were nostalgia-tripping over old games and game companies. Out of curiosity, I wanted to see what Id were up to, so I went to their website, where I was greeted with this: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/107272/405c7113-7afb-47f6-b7ea-a3c48c933840/image.png You don't get much more straightforward about it than saying "we're hiring for our announced project." They're definitely up to something. Be that another Doom, a Wolfenstein game, or another IP, I don't know. But they're doing something.
Now announcing... Skyrim ROM for Super Turbo Turkey Puncher 3.
Last years Bethesda conference was some major ass. Hopefully they step it up this year
...Doom '16 wasn't made inhouse at id.
Commander Keen reboot gooooooooo
DooM 2016
"Doom is a first-person shooter video game developed by id Software " then who?
Not to say the possibility isn't there, but extrapolating that from a common phrase like "Hell on Earth" --especially within context --is a bit much.
What are you talking about? https://puu.sh/A1nhF/3c19266305.png
I think you mean Wolfenstein. Machine Games has been working on that franchise
I call it Do4m because that pisses people off.
I would be okay with a standalone expansion like Dishonored did and Prey is probably doing. A full on second game would be awesome though.
