Wouldn't it help the people working at the stores?
I'm okay with a guy saving a business that was built on good intentions, as well as saving people's jobs... I really don't think he's planning on a monopoly on the toy industry so he can weaponize them for the military. ... but then again, Robin Williams isn't around to stop it anymore... Oh god...
He's not distributing $900m among all toys r us employees LOL

I mean, it is his area of expertise. I doubt he's throwing away money, he probably has a plan to modernise the stores.
No, but he is keeping their jobs intact so they can continue to provide for themselvse and their families, which is a far better spend of that 850 million than directly divvying it up to each and every employee. If he did do that, each one would only get just over 13,000 dollars, not exactly a big windfall and certainly not enough to make up for the lost job.
