Wasn't removing the US from this the one thing no one hated him for? Why on earth would he consider going back to it?
Because while a lot of people freaked out about the copyright law stuff - the TPP's real intention was to fuck up China. Without the TPP the US is losing control of Asia to China which isn't good news for anyone over there.
Steamrolling international copyright law is less important than trying and likely failing to cuck China's economy /s
The only good thing about this is it would drop the 25% tariff on light trucks iirc so we can get cheaper midsize trucks again.

Although it does fuck everybody but the U.S. all the parties involved were willing to go into this partnership in an effort to curb china's growing power and hold china responsible for its actions whether they be good or bad.
Plus if the TPP passed, all that activism against SOPA, PIPA, ACTA, would have been all for nothing, because the TPP included those texts in it and would have not only brought those laws into force, but done so on every country that signed it.
