what the fuck
I remembered watching him on Mail Call before I knew about him as a serious actor. Rest in peace Gunny.
Oh man, the only man in the world who consisted of 50% awesomeness and 50% anger. Rest in peace mr. Ermey.
74 isn't a bad age to go, but still, what a bummer. He was a legend https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTQAXX08A-s Still is.
his whole fb page seems unavailable disabled, what's the deal
Working just fine for me.
Man, that just adds an extra layer to my already shitty day. I'm glad I was able to meet him a few years ago, great guy to be around.
https://youtu.be/0Y_w6Jx-GzA Semper Fi, carry on.
I was looking at his IMDb page, he was in a lot more stuff then I realized. I loved him in FMJ though.
It surprised me to learn he even did voice-lines for Invader Zim. The guy's been around.
Absolute badass man is all I can say for sure, I bet just a single sentence from him could turn a baby into a man.
His performance in FMJ is literally "out fucking standing", don't think you could of found anyone else better for the role. Rest easy
Goodbye, Gunny.
Man this fucking sucks
I remember watching mail call when I was a kid to get my fix for my budding interest in guns, before the internet and YT and the like made it so accessible for me. Probably played a big part in what got me into old-shool militaria stuff. What a shame.
I was lucky that I got to meet him when I was still serving.
Same man, me and my grandfather bonded over that show. This guy's been such a staple of my... Well, entire life. If it wasn't the man himself, I've seen so many characters so clearly based on him and it always made me smile because I had such a fond place in my heart for him.
I think Im actually gonna cry. This dude was truly a god among men.
They always come in threes. FFS, I already hate this week so much. First Art Bell, now Gunny.
I'm fucking devastated. I had the chance to meet him at the NRA show last year, but I passed because the line was super long and my feet were already killing me. If I had fucking known...
Boy oh boy, ol Jesus is in for a ear full.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfmVBmDKLZI What a fantastic man. It's sad to see him go, but his legend will live on.
I couldn't even think of what to say when I saw the title, the only thing that came to mind was "Ahh shit." That really fucking sucks.
Fuck I always dreamed of meeting him. A true shame.
"But always remember this: Marines die. That's what we're here for. But the Marine Corps lives forever, and that means you live forever."
Wow, what a back handed compliment.
I always looked up to him growing up. I consider him a hero just on all the good he's done and all the smiles and laughs he's brought us. He and his voice will be sorely missed. RIP Gunny
Dude deserves all the love
Didn't read as one to me, it read like a valid criticism followed by a legitimate compliment.
