why did they ever get rid of being able to draw on maps i think we should be able to makr where bases are on them and things like that.
I never seen this as I am a newer player, I really wish I could apply notes to my map. It would help with Stashes, and other markings of enemy bases....
In real life I would be taking notes!
I think the idea was if you stole another players map, youd know where their base theoretically is, and it could lead to strategic gains if you played PVP well. I played with a french friend and one player had circled our base and wrote "Enemy number 1" and they marked their own base on it, so it was just getting a b-line from point A to B.
But now that theyre cleint based, and not inventory based, their are only positives to writing on the map, where as if you died before, youd get punished but now if you die, theres no problem.
At least thats assuming how the devs feel about it. I'm talking out of my ass tbh
it was so much fun i would always mark a base when i seen one on the map to plan routes and stuff it was like a whole other thing to do i miss it! hope it comes back
I do the same thing with "paint" just download the map and mark everything on that, once the devs got their own "game" map they just dropped the paper one.
