I'd like a compass at the top of my screen, i've searched everywhere and haven't been able to find anything. I don't want to go snooping through peoples code so i'm here to ask for help.

Typically when you want help with something, it means you've already made an attempt at one of the steps.
If you want this, you should start with doing a simple hud paint that scrolls depending on player aiming angle relative to the 0 yaw angle
You should be able to trick out the rest
